i live in Melbourne, its bascially the australian city that has the most things happening, and also the biggestest and best sporting city in the world. For an population of 4 million we have so many sports. We created our own sport that lead to being national and played world wide. In an competition of 16 major teams 10 are in the one city. And despite being 4 million AFL is the 3rd most attended sport for an country with 20 million. And to ontop of that we have our own basketball and soccer competitions, we host an major grand slam in tennis, we love cycling and swimming and when the afl season is over cricket starts which is an global event. And Melbourne is home to the MCG and statidum that holds 100,000 and is massive. The MCG is also located next to the tennis grandslam area with 2 areanas and has newly built soccer/rugby stadium and an bit further away we have etihad statidum with holds 50,000. Oh and i almost forgot about horse racing and that we host one of the most prestigest horse races The Melbourne Cup which is massive.

So you can say we are sport mad here in Melbourne. We love sport and on an side note we love to bet on it and gamble with Victoria having more problem gamblers per 1000 people than Los Vegas. An we have only one casino.

Bah, us Kiwis beat you lot in the sporting stakes =P

I live in Abbotsford/British Columbia/Canada

Abbotsford is the fastest growing city in British Columbia. It is also known as the Bible Belt of BC but being Christian I like that. The murder rate is also highest in BC and one of the highest in the country. Mainly because we have two major gangs who are constantly shooting at each other. We used to also have Banditos and Hells Angels as well but Hells Angels kicked the Banditos asses and they retreated and left the city.

Our main sport is Hockey , no shit. Our team the Abbotsford Heat is one of the better teams beating Washington's team all the time. My city is an hour out of Vancouver which most people will know from the olympic's. Our city is very multicultural and has East Indian's (Lots of em) , Korean's , Japanese, African's , chinese... you name the race we got em. And for the most part we live together fairly well.

Their is more sushi restraunts then church's and since I love Japanese food thats a major bonus too. We have two malls with a third coming soon. My city is majorly Conservative and we vote in the Conservative Party every election, which being a conservative I love.

In the end I love my city, its also majorly disaster proof. It can flood but alot of the city is on higher ground, we can't have Hurricanes Tornados, Tsunami's their very little forests for a forest fire. Since I was born a small 6 earthquake is the only natural disaster to hit my city and it hit Seattle I was three hours from the epicenter.

Well, I'm from Essex, UK.

My particular part of Essex is one of the wealthiest regions in the country. I believe it has the highest ratio (or, one of) of cars per household. It's in the South East of England, which has the highest average house price in the country. Unemployment in my constituency is 1.6%... against the national average of around 8(?)% (also extremely resistant to public sector cuts, most of jobs come from private business). On a demographic note, my constituency is actually 98% white, around 0.7% Asian, and 0.4% black.

Essex has a bit of reputation for being full of your Paris Hilton-esque women, and "Jack-the-Lad" men... this actually has a lot of grounding in reality - lots of silly people get their hands on lots of money.

Over the past few years, our highstreets have changed. A lot. In the UK, the "highstreet" is traditionally the place where people do their shopping, this was the case until a few years ago. Our highstreets are now mainly focused on services such as hair dressers, tanning salons, as well as bars, clubs, and restaurants. Shopping has moved to slightly out-of-town retail parks. In many ways, it's all much more Americanized - with the traditional British highstreet replaced with a "Downtown" and retail parks.

Crime rates are also way lower than the national average in my constituency... my town actually closed down the local police station over a decade ago, as there was pretty much no need for it.

The natural geography is okay. I live alongside a river, and next to a woods... there are various wooded areas, parks, greens scattered throughout the country. My constituency actually has 2 woodlands, and a nature reserve (as well as two castle ruins! Fun, fun, fun). Public transport is average, but it's great for pedestrian travel... not so well designed for cyclists. Congestion can also be a major issue at peak times.

London is a 30 minute train ride away, and the seaside is a 15 minute train ride, or 40 minute drive.

All in all, it's a great place to live. Extremely high standard of living, economically very well developed, and should stand up well against the Government's austerity measures. It's pretty much got something for everybody - the woodlands are great for kids to play in, also for walks. The river is used for water sports, also has a pub and a bistro along side it... and a massive great outdoor antiquing complex, if you're into that kind of thing. Literally thousands of bars, pubs, and nightclubs. Well developed shopping areas. Casinos, arcades, funparks and beaches by the seaside. An obscene number of golf courses, too. One of the local woodlands, and the castle in and around it, is actually being used for the mountain biking event in the 2012 Olympics. Easy transport links straight into London. You feel extremely safe, and you trust the community - we've had hundreds, if not thousands, of pounds worth of building materials out of the front of our house for the past couple of months, with not a single worry about it being stolen - we seldom shut the side gates to the house, or lock the front door, either. I've been known, on ocassion, to actually go to bed and leave both the front and back doors of the house not just unlocked... but wide open.

Oh, and it's one of the dryest areas in the country, too... though that's not saying much.

All-in-all, it's a very nice place to live, and to grow up and old in.

EDIT: Also, we have two major cinemas - one with 16 screens, another with 12. There was a TV show based on living in Essex called "The Only Way Is Essex", they produced a music video (warning: tacky)

Sonic is only in OKC,but it's a drive in fast food place that mostly sucks.

There are Sonics outside of OKC. We have them in Tennessee, which is also in the bible belt, which also has TONS of churches. We are trying to outlaw Sharia law, and anything Islamic, we tend to oppress. Where I live, we rarely have natural disasters, and the weather is AMAZING. We have been pushing for our own currency, but I know that will never happen. We were the last to join the Confederation, and the first to surrender. My state is called the Volunteer state because in every war, the most volunteers come from here. The west is mostly blacks, the center is mixed but with somewhat more whites, and the east is EXTREMELY white. In the east, there are mountains, and you can get away with anything out there.  We vote relatively conservative when it comes down to federal elections, and liberally at state and local elections. We are #48 out of 50 in terms of education for the states. Our state is responsible for the KKK(which is still popular in the east). The most famous american WW1 veteran, Alvin C. York, comes from here. We have had two presidents that claim Tennessee as their home state, yet neither were born here. In my region, we have 3 poisonous snakes, although I have only seen one of them in the wild. Our parks are amazing. We have an amusment park called Dollywood, which SUCKS. People love Xbox, America, and meat here. Memphis has one of the highest violent crime rates in the USA. Lastly, if I am not mistaken, the person who was the swing vote for women suffrage was a Tennessee senator.

I'm from Brantford on Southern Ontario. Its located near many of the major cities in Canada such as Toronto, Hamilton, London, Kitchener-Waterloo, etc. Wayne Gretzky was born here and the first ever telephone call was made here. There is one player in the NFL from Brantford, Nick Kaczur who is an O-lineman for the NE Patriots.

Our city is also home to one of the largest native reserves in Canada. We have one of the highest crime rates in Canada, one of the highest teen pregnancy rates in Canada, and tons of drugs go through Brantford.

In terms of entertainment there is shit all to do here. We do have a nice golf course, a casino and a nice movie theatre but that's about it. Well actually we are currently in the process of renovating/improving one of our local hockey rinks so that should be a nice improvement to the city.

Not a whole lot else to tell. Its basically a shithole but somehow the best NHL player ever came from here. I'm not a huge Gretzky fan but it is cool that he came from the same city as me, in fact he went to the same high school as me, and him and my dad went to the same elementary school together.

Sacramento.

The capital of California, in the US.

Literally the only boring major city in the whole state.

We're losing our only Major Sports team, the Kings. Even if they suck, we'll still greatly miss them and we still feel it's unfair to give it ti Annaheim, who already have the Lakers AND the Clippers.

We have a TON of trees, and it's really nice in that sense.

There's enough people to keep from getting lonely, but not so much that it feels overcrowded.

We have a very strong mix of every political and religous view.

I've never been to Sonic, but we have In-N-Out which is a gagillion times better anyway.

We have fires and floods, but nothing has affected me yet.

It's easy to vactaion because so many places are just a few hour drives away (San Francisco, Monterey, Rockies, ect.)

School system is very average. Nothing special, but nothing too ghetto.

Gamer population is also average.

High taxes from what I've heard.

Lots of people hate it here, but it's really not too shabby. Just too plain for some people's taste.

lolwut?

Sonic and Braum's are national chains.  Now Braum's isn't something that's really major anymor and you don't see them often, but Sonic's are all over the place.

I live in the suburbs of Detroit (about 40 minutes outside of Detroit) and it is a nice place. Decent roads, nice landscaping but pretty much exactly like Tranquility Lane in Fallout 3. Nothing too special. And being Michigan, we are completly broke and no one is hiring >.> Anyway, this place sucks. Most people add "s" on to the end of words that have no business being there "anyways" "Meijer's" (grocery chain in the midwest), and the worst "Walmart's" ugh. >.>
