I hope CoD doesn't take longer too.

It will take a really long time. Even if Cod sales half of what it sells today, t will be enough for avtivision to pump out yearly releases.

Guitar Hero III sold obscene amounts only, what, three or four years ago?  It was one of the best-selling games ever.  And now...

True, but there's only one Call of Duty a year, there's 3 Guitar Heroes a year.  Though I do believe Call of Duty will start to fall soon enough.

It's what happens when you don't innovate and constantly release multiple titles in the case of Guitar Hero. It sound like Activision just want to consolidate their internal teams to work on Call of Duty games at the moment. What happens when they over-saturate that franchise too? They seem to be making the same mistakes EA made before they started losing money. At least they'll have Blizzard to keep the profitable though.

That's about 500 jobs lost too. Not a good time for the games industry.

I once saw my cousin, who never plays video games play Guitar Hero.

There were demoes at stores that was always full of people playing GH, even people not really into gaming were interrested in it.

Now, at my local gamestop there is a bargain bin full of cheaply priced plastic guitars, and noone talks about GH anymore.

Activision really outdid themselves in killing off an interresting social phenomenon.

Now I have an idea of how things were during the 1983 video game crash.

I LOVE ICELAND!

true crime canned means gta5 is near

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

I'm glad Guitar Hero is getting a break...hopefully Rockband can shine now since its a legitly amazing game series (worlds better then Guitar Hero)

yeah they should have just made ONE guitar hero and charged for DLC, like iTunes, $1 a song. No one wants 5 expansions...

Also, shame about True Crime. Streets of LA was AWESOME. I still go back and play it from time to time. SOO much better than pointless GTA games. Its pretty much GTA with a proper story.

There was just too much games in that series, too bad. I really dug DJ Hero

finally, now the real masters of the rythm game genre can shine.

Sadly, I haven't played Rock Band in months (mostly due to not particularly liking Rock Band 3's setlist at all and the fact that the DLC since RB3 has been...uninteresting.  Popular stuff, but not interesting at all.  nothing fun or difficult in the least.
