Huh, I never even knew this was something some people wanted, or that it was even a remote possibility. You learn somethign new every day.

I think for PS3 gamers wanting pure TPS there's Red Faction Guerilla already out (multiplat yes, but available on PS3 non-the-less) and some time soon SOCOM 4. That should satisfy those who don't want/like the platforming stuff in the Uncharted games. But really having a premier franchise like Uncharted pretty much means there isn't any unsatisfied demand for Gears on PS3. Interesting to read that some people prefer the campaign for Uncharted over Gears, but the online for Gears is superior. For me the SP campaign is what's important in a game.

3 years ago I'd have said bringing Gears over to PS3 would have been a shot in the arm for PS3. But not any more.

I've got Gears 1 for PC and it didn't really knock my socks off. In fact, I can barely remember much of it. Didn't seem to have much substance to it. Area after area of fighting aliens. My X360 owning buddy tells me Gears 2 is much better though.

Too bad never came out on PC.

PC Gears 1 had bullshit gamepad support and Windows Live sucks. Had to update it because the one that installed with the game kept making it crash. Sigh.

This is the truth. Games published my Microsoft will NOT be going Multiplat. Ever.

As a story, Gears doesn't have any substance. It's the action sequences that make the Gears campaign awesome. The multiplayer is great. There are far too many games on the PS3 this  year for any PS3 only owner to complain about one game. Epic must've forgotten they put Bullsetstorm on the PS3 as well. I dont even want that game. It seems repetitive, but other PS3 owners will be playing it.
