Forums - Gaming Discussion - Ever done something in a video-game that made you feel bad?

Whether it be starting an alien invasion in your SimCity to sacrificing your Pokemon with Explosion to win a gym battle, there's always opportunities to do things that you wouldn't normally do, and  may even make you feel guilty about it.

My most recent example was while playing GTA:SA. This mission involved teaching a group of builders a lesson, smashing up their portable cabins with a bulldozer. However, at the end of the mission, one of the builders decides to hide himself in a portable toilet, and it's your job to push it into a pit and cover him with cement. Even in a game where killing someone is just a click away, I felt bad about trapping a man in a plastic grave.

Do you guys have any examples of moments in gaming that made you feel bad?

I felt bad about killing eveyone in the airport at COD: MW2.

Above: still the best game of the year.

Nope never and I'm doing a lot of weird stuff in my games.

Not usually. Though I really didn't want to kill Zelos in ToS. But....Kratos was a god compared to him so it was worth it.

Well, generally, in any RPG, I feel terrible when I randomly lie to somebody asking me a question which will not impact my game in any way whatsoever, :O.

I feel bad each and everytime I hit Cuccos in Zelda games. But at the same time, I simply cannot resist their inviting feathery bodies... when I see them, I MUST slash them! Or bomb them.

In my first playthrough of The Witcher, in the second episode, I got into a cavern and had sex with a witch. Then, when I got out of the cavern with my new girlfriend, people from the nearby settlement wanted to burn the witch, they blamed her because a huge hellhound was terrorising the village.

At first, I choose to protect the witch and told the villagers to gtfo, but just afterwards, I had to fight the hellhounds alone, the witch only helping by healing me. The fight was near impossible and I died ten or twenty time trying.

Finally, I took my save back, decided to give the witch (I just had sex with her, I felt bad...) to the wrath of the villagers. this time, the fight against the hellhound was much easier, since 5 villagers were siding me in the fight, and I used them as meatshield to fight the Hellhound.

I still feel bad :/

Charming a mob in crushbone in Everquest. Giving it haste, strength and hp bufs, stacked with mage conjured items that do the same. Then wiping it's memory, cast invisibility on ourselves and watch it wander onto unsuspecting newbies :/

Debuffing my wife's floatation buf after she walked of a high spire, making her fall. Not high enough to die, but she still hasn't forgiven me.

Teleporting someone to a remote dangerous location. A lot of people don't bother to read the destination message before clicking yes.

i actualy felt good and looked forward to the cement thing in GTA SA.

no i haven't done anything in a game that i felt bad about. now there have been things in games that have happened in games that apart of the story that i had no control over that i felt bad about. (VC)
