how do you know? PS move has the combination of 1:1 motion controller with 3D space, and PS EYE and a much cheaper entry price than kinect.. plus it comes out almost 2 months earlier

I disagree about people looking at price(though as you said it is cheaper), but rather value. If people learn all they need is one Kinect for multiplayer action, they may feel that there more value in that than the extra cash needed for extra moves(and maybe nunchuck attachments). Another thing is the casuals have a Wii and the move looks like another Wii, Kinect looks like a different experience and as I said before Kinect will probably be more successful cause it looks like it has more shovelware looking shit on it. EIther way trying to get the casuals to bite on a $400 purchase is just ratarded. Bravo Nintendo for tricking they HD twins into doing this shit.

Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.

Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

Kinect has a better chance as it is a UI overhaul as well which is a draw for the causal crowd. Move is not cheap enough. At $100 it is very similar to Kinect and potentially more expensive (2 player would be $179).

While move is a better game controller Kinect may end up being better overall.  PS3 is not using the PS3 eye microphone for voice recognition which would even the playing field .

Hopefully both will flop, but I see Move doing better only because it look like it will have a couple month advantage.  If Kinect release date gets moved closer to Move it has a good chance at being a better seller.

I haven't decided which I think will win

But I would like to point out the price comparison is only valid if the consumer does not already have the console. I do not expect move or kinect to push much hardware so I don't expect the price comparison in the OP to be very relevant.

PSmove = 100 assuming you don't have the PSeye for one player only

Kinect = 200 (150 for camera 50 for a game to play on it)

I don't see anything in the kinect lineup that will convince the extended audience to throw away their Wiis and buy kinect, nor even to buy kinect instead of a Wii if they currently own nothing (price comparison then is Wii = 200 with 1 game, cheapest 360 is 350 with 1 game) Nor do I see anything that could entice the current 360 userbase

Move has a couple of games that should appeal to us forum dwellers at least, and the entry price is very cheap if you already own a PS3

leo-j get your facts straight

http://playstationlifestyle.net/2010/06/15/playstation-prepares-massive-move-marketing-deal-with-coca-cola/

130 million coca-cola cans is not every can... i really think that isnt really that much.. maybe for USA alone could be enought, still I dont think that is the best way to advertise it, a lot of people that buys them, or almost half of them wont really care about it....

dont really know what sony was thinking about it...

At the moment, I think Kinect will debut better but have poor legs, while Move will start out weaker but have a longer tail.  I don't expect either to light the world on fire though.

That answer is way too technical and alone explains why Kinect will be more successful.

Did you hear it lets you pet and play with little tiger anmals?

Like casual gamers care about 1:1. Move is pretty much the exact same thing as the Wii controller. The Kinect is something fresh, new, and interesting. New features are what help drive products.

I don't see either company neglect the core gamer for you to say this. I am still getting Halo REach which will easily be the best FPS for the console (did you hear it has firefight more with matchmaking?) and PS3 owner is getting GT5, the definitiver harcore racing game of the generation.

If we don't have new AAA games coming thanks to motion controls, then I understand why you'd want to thank Nintendo...with a poison mushroom. Otherwise, let the 2 HD giants make some cash off the casuals. Is only Nintendo allowed to do this?
