Forums - Sony Discussion - Uncharted 2 to much climbing?

Loved the game. Finished it 3 times in each difficulty(normal, hard, crushing). My favourite game. Uncharted is all about climbing shit...

Nope, it had the perfect mix:

40% Platforming

40% Tactical shooting

20% Stealth

If it concentrated more on one area than it wouldn't be Uncharted and instead be your average and generic 3rd person game. The best thing about the game was the seamless mix of the 3. Platforming, stealth kills, then shooting whilst hanging from a high vantage point/using the environment as cover.

Please, stop call that platforming....those cilmbing and jump sections are not platforming, you don't have to keep the right timing neither you have to keep an eye on distance before jumping, you just have to wait for the character to get in the right pose than the jump will be done automatically in 90% of cases, and even if you, for some strange eventuality, fall down you will start again right before you have jumped....if that's platforming then also street fighter is a platform game, since you can jump.

Hum...actually, jumping and climbing are the basic to a platform game...-_-

E3 2015 Wishlist:

Ratchet & Clank (PS4)
Mass Effect 4 (MEH)
Age of Empires IV (PC)
Quantic Dream (PS4)
Mario 3D (Wii U)
Banjo-Kazooie (XOne)

naw, it was perfect in my opinion. One of the best platformers I've played in a while

Yes, they are when you're the one that actually jump and climb not when you press a button and a the jump is done correctly by the computer, that's more like quick-time event to me.

Lol. My friend was just talking to me about this. I said Uncharted was the definitive third-person shooter but he said Battlefront was. I argued that auto aim is for noobs and he said uncharted had too much climbing. I argued that the cover system was the best and the aiming system was excellent and he said that the camera angle would not allow for massive battles.

Yea, we where in a little argument against Xxain and certain people when it came to what exactly was a platformer..

I do believe it is a platformer.. as I believe Ratchet is a platformer, and Jak.. it's a 3rd person shooter as well.

The climbing was def. not my favorite part, i mean i liked it, but i liked the shooting a lot more.

Your comment doesn't make sense because jumps aren't automatic... death by falling off edges, falling off a moving car or train, etc. is commonplace...

Are you sure you've played Uncharted? You've made a few other comments in the past that make it seem like you have no clue what you're talking about...
