Doesn't that  just change the choice, why would he be able to decide that instead of Wii / PS3 (although you could buy both if you really wanted to)

Well to be honest the PS3 looks pretty interesting, but my family wants a Wii, and can someone make a list of PS3 exclusives that are good. Cause I haven't been paying to close attention to the PS3.

The Wii on the other hand has some games that my family likes. For example Wii Play and Super Mario Galaxy. My family really wants this console. But the PS3 looks good and its price is good ($400). But I just paid $450 for the Xbox 360 Elite. So IDK....@_@

IMO: wii/360 or wii/ps3 makes more sense than 360/ps3.

Given that you already have a 360, I definitely recommend the wii. There is far more overlap between the 360 and ps3 than the wii and either of the other two.

Add the list of games you own to your profile. Nothing says whoa like a wall of games next to your name.

Anyway, like I said before, you need to get the exclusives you want RIGHT NOW when thinking about this purchase. Basically, the console needs to prove that it's worth the time + investment.

For your genre tastes, things are pretty mixed.

RPGs:
FF13 on the PS3. DQ9 on the DS. Namco's Tales on the Wii. X360 has more non-Japanese RPGs though. No matter which system you pick, RPGs will be on it.


Action Shooters:
You have a 360, so you have most of them. The Wii will have more exclusive shooters thanks to its control scheme. The PS3 is be too similar in terms of specs, controls and userbase to get exclusive shooters (besides a few like Killzone 2). I would say the Wii wins except it's more like the X360 wins and Wii gets most of the leftovers.

Family:
Sounds like your family wants a Wii. And they've already mentioned 2 games they want for it. It doesn't sound like they're going ape for next gen graphics or Bluray playback. Wii wins there.

If you were to buy a console RIGHT NOW, I would lean towards the Wii. Unless there's a pile of must have PS3 games you can buy.

Ask yourself which non-360 games you would get for the PS3 and Wii, and then decide from there.

well, it depends of the games you like, but if you already have the xbox360 i would recomend you the wii because it is another way of playing games

Yeah dude your right...I think I should get a Wii.

I know the PS3 doesn't play PS2 games. I have a PS2 Slim...I bought when that came out. So I really don't care about backwards compatibility.

Get the 40gb ps3

You cant compare a PS3 with a wii. Its a no brainer.
