NUMONEX SAID:

If this graphics comparison is indeed true. A huge gap between the PS3 version and 360 version of FFXIII. Action must be taken by 360 gamers.

I call on my fellow 360 fans to Boycott Square Enix now. Releasing a gimped version of FFXIII onto the 360. The games graphics looked crippled for the 360, seriously lacking in detail. I would not want to imagine how the game play would be like assuming it will have issues as well. Game reviewers will have a field day. What the hell were Square Enix thinking?

Square Enix quality of games have been very ordinary over the last few years and that trend is continuing with FFXIII.

I am very upset with this latest revelation. 360 owners have the right to be disappointed and they should boycott Square Enix. They gave us Last Remnant and Infinite Undiscovery(both crap games with issues) and now a gimped version of FFXIII.

---bro this is probably the first multi-platform game to release on both consoles at the same time that looks better on the ps3. all of the other

multi-platform games look just as good or worse.  for square enix to make a simultaneous release they had to port it otherwise you get FFXIII a

year later for 360 and while it may look better anyone who wants the game will not wait a year which is why squarenix needed to release it at the

same time otherwise 360 FFXIII sales would be extremely low.  and just know that even though it sucks getting a crap port of a game, ps3

owners have been getting crap ports for years.  if the 360 FFXIII frame rates happen to suck then you have a right to complain because that's bs

but when you're into the game and playing through it then the graphics won't matter at all. in the end gameplay and story will always prevail.

First some assumptions:
1 These screen comparisons are real
2 SE had to trim things to fit within the 3 disk limit 'imposed' by MS
3 SE tried to make the game versions as close as possible between platforms

with those in mind, it seems SE have shot themselves pretty close to their groinal regions with this, but have probably missed their danglies by a few fractions of an inch.

X360 gamers in the know (with all honesty, any gamers outside of the internet forums are probably not going to care one iota about any difference) will feel they've got a gimped version.

PS3 gamers in the know will feel their version is also gimped due to their feelings of "what could have been" had SE focussed on the single platform.

This just leads to bad tastes in the mouths of those that care and SE are just lucky that FF is such a strong franchise that it will still go on to sell millions on both platforms. I feel any lesser franchise might not last much longer after having this done to it. Having the potential to alienate many of their core fans is not a good bullet point to put at the back of the game box.

Disclaimer: IMO

for people buying this version i wouldn't worry too much about graphics but i would be concerned about possible frame rate drops. graphics won't really ruin gameplay however frame rate will

In all honesty I don't give a crap how the game looks in still screenshots, I've seen stills that make Gears 2 look crap but in motion it looks great. As long as the framerate holds up, texture pop up isn't too bad I couldn't care less that graphics aren't as good as the PS3's version. This game looks a little worse on the 360, but it's not gimped like some people are saying unless there's a problem with how it runs then everything is good in my opinion

Oh nos! My experience will be ruined for life now cuz of this! How will I survive?!?!?! Damn you MS and your cheap DVDs! I hope you're happy! Now I'm gonna stop playing any videogame ever cuz of this fatality you committed! (sarcasm off! :))

well you guys are some true haters man since the game was first announced for the 360. never seen people analyze the same game for different consoles so much Are y'all made because you have the superior version or something. I mean dang let us 360 owners enjoy i little differences like that aren't anything to continue making threads about man. i see this i see that i can look at the ps3 version and say the same thing if i look at it hard enough shut up and enjoy.

This is getting out of hand.
It's not like the 360 version is unplayable. It may not look as good as the PS3 version, but if you were interested in FF13 and only have a 360, I don't see much of a reason to avoid this game because it doesn't look as good...

your response made no sense.

not you bbsin

All these arguments are getting out of hand, and I can understand the 360 user frustration's here, how many times have articles been posted stating that a certain game is better on x360, when in reality the difference is so small, we should stop these comparisons and the console wars, and be grateful that FF XIII is available to more gamers.

Anything higher than 480 = HD.

The statement of the week...

SD is 480. So technically anything higher is HD. Hence higher than the standard definition.

If you can prove me wrong go for it. Or you can make another asinine comment. Your choice.
