This would mean that Nintendo's systems combined make 240,803 units and the combined sales of Sony/MS comes to 242,444, just 1,641 units in the difference between Nintendo machines into hands and the other 2 combined. This would definitely be a time when companies who haven't already got their shit together and prepared to port some titles over to the Switch now have to be feeling the pinch of that choice a small amount, I would think that it's very likely we'll see some form of GTA or big franchise from EA making their way onto the Switch during this E3, the system has gotten to the point where if resources are being spent on an X1 port of a game and not a Switch conversion then teams behind those have to be aware that there version would need to sell 4x better to achieve the same numbers as if the game was ported to Switch instead.

Word about the PS5 is trickling out, which will make people think twice about buying a PS4 and just waiting instead. I'm really surprised how close Switch and PS4 have been in Europe the last few weeks. That's Sonyland, but the Switch is only a little bit behind. Even a year ago I wouldn't have suggested that being possible.

I'm glad I'm not the only one thinking that. Also, since PlayStation 5 will be backward compatible, waiting for it makes even more sense.

Well, if the person that wants to play PS4 games is Ok with waiting until the PS5 release, that is.

Xbox One has Wii U numbers. Ouch. Hard times for MS. I don't think that the All Digital will move a lot of units or show some significant legs.

I doubt the PS5 is having much impact on PS4 sales as it hasn't even been properly revealed yet. All we have are some scarce factoids and insubstantial rumors.

Switch staying steady very nice can't wait to see what ti does when the heavy hitters drop later this year! PS4 still holding its own not bad either we will see what Days Gone does but I think a pricecut/drop is the thing that will boost the sales up for a while imo. XB1 getting closer and closer to the other side of the river of life lol.

Whoa, Switch adjusted up while the other 2 machines getting adjusted down, based on those new numbers that would mean that Nintendo actually landed 21k more controllers into hands this week than the other 2 companies combined efforts, heck the Switch alone is around 6k units off outselling the PS4 and X1 combined.

Also the X1 down to the 60k mark globally? that's pretty much a console on the way out, very much on the way out, it would now be very common knowledge even among those not too up on the sales of systems that it would be a poor investment right now to buy that system. Cascade sales drop in full effect. That is a 10k drop from last week for a system that's already selling tragically low numbers when you consider that it's got 2 different SKU's on the shelf with another one on the way with even less features. This E3 is going to need to start off with a large dish of humble pie and a very clear acknowledgement that the Xbox 1 was not what gamers wanted... that said, the Xbox1SAD is a closer step towards the original vision of what the X1 was going to be when it launched, no real ownership of games, less control of your device and also no backwards compatibility again which was lauded as one of the better features of the X1, now with the lack of disk drive completely back to square zero in that regard.

Seems like the first week this year with such big difference.

No games will mega boost PS4, it is done. Seven year gen is too long, and every Sony fan already has a PS4. This year and next is all Nintendo Switch at the very least.

Yeah I agree with the games part might get a minor boost here and there but outside of that only a NICE pricecut will really boost the sales. But to say every Sony fan already has a PS4 is just silly......if that was the case it wouldn't still be selling like it......

But yes this year is the year of the Switch, I even think it will be the peak year of the Switch personally. Next year will also be the year of the Switch I mean I do not think the Next XBOX will be out yet unless it drops this year around the Holidays which would give it a shot at taking over from the Switch next year. And the PS5 won't drop until the Holidays of 2020 unless they try to not give the NextBox a year head start and launch in March or April of 2020.
