I like that voting system.

So how do I vote for the queen to reinstate monarchy?

No need, Australia already is a monarchy. Look at Wikipedia, at the right side box under 'Government': "Federal parliamentary constitutional monarchy"

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Australia

If you don't trust your translation skills, in german: "föderale, parlamentarische Monarchie".

I've turned 18 and this will be my first time voting, and honestly, I really don't want too. The government is shit, these "parties" are shit, politicians are shit, and the voting is shit. I'm going to end up drawing dicks all over the voting slips and telling them to fuck off. I hate this voting thing so much.

The best way for then scumbags to win is not to vote.

As I see it, depending on the area you vote, you have between three and ten candidates on the ballot. Three is a small number to choose from, but among ten you might find someone you like.

And pro tip is: if you seriously don't like the selection support independent candidates after the election to make it to the ballot next time. Well, support the one who has policies you like.

I don't mean fake monarchy, though.

Thanks but no thanks. 90% of what comes out of their mouth is bullshit, so I'm not going to vote for anyone.

They have no real power over us. They're just celebrities.

I like them though. They do a lot of good... Except when an event like a wedding or a baby is happening... I don't want to hear about them 3 million times a day.

+1 for pirate party. I haven't actually checked if they're running candidates in my area, but they're getting preferenced highly if they do. They and the Reason Party (formerly Sex Party) actually have a lot of good policy.
