Glass is not getting good reviews, but I love the film. I love the whole trilogy. I'd been waiting for 19 years for Glass to be made. I wasn't disappointed in the slightest.

I reckon most people don't know Glass connects to the other two movies. On its own it is a litle dry, but as a trilogy it actually make sense the way the move was made.

I think you are right about the average movie-goer.  Critics are well aware that it is a trilogy, but it still got poor reviews.

Regardless, I love the movie, and I'm glad it finally got made.

The same thing.

And Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle. Every friend of mine disliked it. Just don't know why.

Event Horizon which is a cult classic by now.

I remember being disgusted by it and regretting watching it, but good thing I don't remember almost anything from it, just one scene where they were watching some record with guts spilling from peoples mouths or something.

Deus Ex (2000) - a game that pushes the boundaries of what the video game medium is capable of to a degree unmatched to this very day.

The Village.
I think it's among M. Night's best works. I think it flopped, because it was marketed as a horror flick, but it really wasn't. People went in expecting one thing, but got something else.
It's really a love story, and a beautiful one at that. The language used by the characters, the cinematography, the music, the acting, wow. Sublime.

I remember that movie. I didn't hate it.

I would say Copland but I don't know if people hate it. It's just I feel this movie is underrated.

Kung Pow: Enter The Fist its one of my favorite comedies in the last 20 years.

I have one - Alien Resurrection (1997). I thought it was perfect but later learned that it is generally disliked, still don't know why. Surely it is better than the 3rd movie and the Alien vs Predator movies and the Prometheus movies.
