Holidays confirmed.
If not, Sony is dumb confirmed.
Either way... I don't care about this game. It's not going to sell more than Mario Kart, so it's not even the "definitive racer" or anything.

In the same year as the Prologue was never going to happen. Not when it was selling so well. The game was 2009 at the earliest. And that was before they decided to commit to damage and all the other features fans were screaming for. GT5 in 2008 was not the same game as GT5 in 2010. |
It's hard to go against what the creator of the game said, but somehow you managed to.

Gran Turismo 6?
I mean... they do still plan to release a sequel to GT5 to my knowledge.
They said 6 wouldn't take nearly as long. I imagine they'll keep just about everything the same but just add more.
Watch out GT5, Kojima is coming for you. It's time to lay down the law!
Anything less than a 10.0 and i m gonna call it EPIC FAIL.
same goes for u.. alan wake.
Doubt is not a pleasant condition, but certainty is absurd.

5 THINGS I'd like to see before i knock out:
a. a AAA 3D sonic title
b. a nintendo developed game that has a "M rating"
c. redesgined PS controller
d. SEGA back in the console business
e. M$ out of the OS business
They will get what they deserve for this, half the sales they would have got in 2009 if they'd have released it then.

Right, because "definitive" is defined by sales... *roll eyes*

It's the metric that is least subjective, so don't underestimate it.
Subjectively, anyone can say Gran Turismo is the definitive racer. To me, the definitive racer is Super Mario Kart for the SNES, and for me nothing changes that. Same as your opinion on Gran Turismo, which I frankly don't like. Calling for a universal "definitive" answer is foolish to begin with, everybody has a different opinion.
Sales are also determined by a number of different things sometimes unrelated to consumer satisfaction, that includes hype and propaganda. So there's no "definitive" way of framing a game as the best anything other than opinion, trusted or not. There should be no definitive anything, only good recommendations and fine enjoyment.
This same guy said GT5 could be out on xmas 09.
Take his word if you want to.
