Forums - Nintendo Discussion - The Wii is in for an incredible year...

This may be the best year ever for the Wii. So many great games from both First party and third party. And who knows how the vatility sensor will turn out.

Now as to the vitality sensor, I don't know... I just can't see something you clip to your finger take off (and just to put things in perspective, though it's all just one man's opinion, I could see at the time both the balance board and WM+ take off before they did). But who knows. Not that I care, it's going to be a great year regardless.

Currently Playing: Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked, Professor Layton and the Curious Village

I don't think Zelda wii will come this year. It won't be ready and even if it was, I don't think Ninteno would launch it among mario galaxy 2 and Matroid other M. They made the mistake with Smash bros, mario kart wii mario galaxy an Wii fit. They got all releade around the same periode of time.

Also, i would not bet on that mistwalker game for this year in north america. But anyway, great games to come an I have been alreay surpise with Noe More heroes 2 an Tasunoko vs Capcom.

All of these games sold millions . . .

The Last Story? What is it?

Yes of course they sold millions. But the problem is more than it let the line-up with a huge hole and a lot of people complained about that.

I can even recall Iwata or Miyamoto saying that releasing so many first party IP in a very short period of time was a mistake.

Project Needlemouse?

I LOVE ICELAND!

It would be neat if they somehow change it being necessary to clip to your finger... maybe a device that functions as the strap for the wii remote....

I'm concerned how it will affect the gameplay. I mean, as we saw at E3, when the Vitality Sensor is attached to the Wii Remote, there is no way to connect the Nunchuk. What kind of game could use it? I don't want another on-rails terror shooter!

The Legend of Zelda:
Ocarina of Time

Pokémon Channel

Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity

Looks very strong alright, for both the expanded audience and the core.

Expanded audience:

Vitality Sensor, Just Dance and clones, probably more stuff we don't know about.

Core:

Monster Hunter Tri, SMG2, M:OM, Xenoblade

Possible Bridge Titles:

Zelda Wii, The Last Story, Red Steel 2

I just hope the early titles are enough to stop the Wii from declining between now and summer.

A game I'm developing with some friends:

It is largely a technical exercise but feedback is appreciated.

The early MotionPlus prototype didn't have a Nunchuk slot either, but they added it into the final release.  Why not do it with the Vitality Sensor?

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

2010 is the Wii's best year for sure, there's at least 20 games I'm buying this year, across Wii, DS and downloadables. Both 1st party and 3rd party shall shine this year.

Buying in 2015: Captain toad: treasure tracker,

mario maker

new 3ds

yoshi woolly world

zelda U

majora's mask 3d

I think it had. If I remember well, Fils-Aime played the Jet-ski minigame at E3 with the Nunchuk. But I'd prefer to have support for it, although I think it's gonna be strange to hold one of the controllers with the Vitality Sensor attached.
