I have the 1st one and I didn't like it much. So...

If you liked the 1st one then you should get the 2nd one as well but...

If you didn't buy or play the 1st one then I would NOT buy this game because its NOT good!

But thats only my opinion.

The second one is better. =) It's literally so awesome that my brother stopped playing ME2 just so he can watch my live stream, the entire night, lol. The awesomeness is pretty much Uncharted 2 to Uncharted comparison awesome.
