1. Dad had a panic attack trying to figure out all the extra gizmos he needed beyond the console, such as rechargeable batteries, extra controls, games and attachments.

Should have bought a PS3.

Huh? Are you saying he should just buy a PS3 and only buy movies?

Of course. It's not like the PS3 has games or anything.

Well he woudn't need to spend money on batteries or wireless...

PS3-Xbox360 gap : 1.5 millions and going up in PS3 favor !

PS3-Wii gap : 20 millions and going down !

What? Electronics run on batteries? SINCE WHEN!

What? To have two players playing at the same time I have to have TWO controllers? SINCE WHEN!!

What? A game advertised with little plastic guitars, mics, and drums cost 100 dollars? WTF SINCE WHEN!!!

That's what I got from this article... I wonder if he's ever had to buy anything electronic before, I can only imagine the possibilities.

What? You mean RC cars have to have special batteries sold separately for well more than 20 dollars? And TV remotes need AA batteries, plus the TV needs to be repaired if something goes out? Eating at a fancy restaurant means I have to pay 15% extra on anything I buy? What's with all of these hidden costs!

I completely agree. It's sort of like buying a computer and discovering that you need an internet connection to access the internet. And you have to PAY for that internet connection! And it will run on ELECTRICITY! So your electricity bill will go up!

I'd promptly return my computer if that ever happened.

It's a good thing he didn't get a 360 or Ps3, then, whoa.
I wonder how this guy gets on the internet... 'what, I already paid for this computer, I need to pay to get online as well?!' Or if he drives a car... 'you tellin' me I need to buy gas for this thing?!'

XD +1 for lulz.

ohhh god i hate that opinion.

All of the consoles are the same in the 'hidden costs' department.

All require games, all require more controllers or specialized controllers/remotes for certain things, all require something extra.

In the end the pricing is still Wii<360<PS3

The guy is a tool.

He could buy a Wii + Wii Play + one nunchuk + batteries for about $280 and been really happy on xmas.

Band games all require extra stuff and it doesn't require web connection.

360 would run you about $320 for its arcade setup with a game, extra controller, and batteries.
PS3 would run you about $400 for its base setup with a game and extra controller.

Anything else beyond that is simply extra cost for the item you want. No difference really.

If he bought a 360 he would also have to buy games, extra controller and batteries.

If he bought a PS3 he would have saved money on batteries!!!
