Go with a PC and ignore these noob HD console pushers. Get the real deal, uncut and true hardcore gaming experience with the best graphics, online and overall experience.

noob HD pushers, lol, we all know how much a decent pc gaming rig can cost you and yes it is normally more than £1000 if you want it to last for a long time, seriously it is better if you get a PS3 or X360 (if you already own a HD TV), PC Gaming is dying because the developers are not keen on the piracy on there that has gotten well out of control

Because its worth it! Btw

Processor AMD Athlon II X3 435 $89.99
Motherboard Gigabyte GA-MA770T-UD3P $79.99
Memory Crucial 2GB (2 x 1GB) DDR3-1333 $55.99
Graphics XFX Radeon HD 5750 1GB $144.99
Storage Western Digital Caviar Black 640GB $74.99
Samsung SH-S223L $31.99
Audio Integrated $0
Enclosure Antec NSK 4480 II w/380W PSU $79.99
Total Buy this complete system at Newegg $557.93

From Tech Report is a nice solid system for $700 including tax, shipping and Windows 7. If all the games are based on console specs then it'll just be dandy playing the same console games at twice the resolution and framerate.

still does not give you the ability to play on PS3 games naa just joking, yes it is getting cheaper to build a minimum system, but that system, will only last for a short time with the way technology goes, you will be lucky if that system lasts you 2 years without you having to updgrade it etc, plus it could be doing with more RAM, 2GB is cool, but if you are running Windows 7(64 BIT), I reccomend at least 3 GB RAM

it's the future of handheld

Lucky to last more than two years? LOL what are you smoking? There won't be another leap in performance required for at least another 3 years until after the next generation of consoles!

versus

http://www.metacritic.com/games/xbox360/scores/

Only you can decide. And that is by no means a list of games to buy, merely a list of the quality exclusives (and multiplats) for each HD console.

You might want my opinion, but I think that's clear enough, and there's no guarantee that you'd agree with me.

The SONY PlaystationTriple is a nice choice.

4 ≈ One

if you want the best games = PS3
and your bro is wrong, there are MORE people on PSN then on Xbox Live

Unless you're mostly a shooter fan, PS3 is in fact the best choice. More and better exclusives overall.

PS3 is an RPG console, notice most of the people who own one love RPG..

I hate RPG's and own a ps3.

PS3 is just the best console overall period, AAA exclusive in every genre and free online + free wifi and upgradeable HDD

need 4 gigs for 64bit..... and it's the video card these days that determines your performance with PC games for the most part unless the dev is somehow behind times and still uses the CPU to handle a lot of the shit, but even then a fast dual core would do it for the most part.

personally, if you have a gaming PC, go with the PS3, if not, then it depends on how much you want to pay down the road because PS3 is cheaper than a 360 if you count in the features of the hardware itself +online play cost atm, if money is not an issue, then buy a gaming PC and a PS3 =P, but I'm assuming money is an issue since you have to pick one, so yeah.... it's not like sending mails across ps3 costs any money, cross game chat is nice of course, but not a requirement if you think about it. The official PS3 bluetooth mic is also really really nice since you can use it in 3 different ways lol.

You are on a messageboard mostly populated by people that LOVE PS3 and (a lot) have a gripe with the 360. This is not the place to ask. With that said it should really come down to 3 things.

1)See what exclusives you like on each system, read reviews and try game demo kiosks and games at friends.
2)Controller: See what layout feels most comfortable
3)Friends: If you care about online/local coop/vs/ect and if you want to be able to trade/borrow games from friends this is key.

Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.

Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

LOL you need 4GB for 64bit as much as you require BRD for a BR player. Also 2GB is really good and the more efficient driver model in W7 doesn't need more ram than Vista does which is again 2GB.

Why would you buy a console to play movies at full HD 1080P whilst playing games at between just under and 720P? Isn't that silly? Don't your eyes just burn with upscaled DVD nastyness visuals which would drive you in one direction anyway which is a PC? Have you seen Crysis or Farcry 2 or Call of Duty Played on a big 42" TV at its native resolution rather than at shitty DVD resolutions? Why is it that when the PS3 has BR DVD quality sucks because its upscaled. But noone ever thinks to go 'OH the game visual quality sucks too, I hate scaling'?

I can't stand scaled content which is why I play my Wii on an SD TV it really does chafe my eyes. Playing PS3 games at less than native resolution on a set is like needles in my eyes.
