Most of EA's franchises don't fit with Nintendo, I would rather see Microsoft buy them because they would keep games like the Sims on the PC (windows 7 exclusive ocfourse). Nintendo is doing great this gen but we shouldnt forget that they almost bit the dust lastgen. It's a gimmick that kept them going this gen. If they fail to deliver something new and shiny next time then they need their money to not go bankrupt themselves so it's better to play it save.

EA under MS would be an automatic bankrupt, because MS games only carry so much weight, and letssser..er wait did you just say Nintendo almost bit the dust last gen? While making profits off bought GC and GB, and you refered to Nintendo IS A GIMMICK....wooooooow...

I fail to see how EA as a part of MS could go bankrupt, not that it really matters because EA won't allow themselves to be bought by any of the three console makers, they are far too happy selling everything multiplat.

Nintendo's gamecube was a failure, even the original xbox outsold it. The Wii's only strength over it's predecessor is the Wii-mote. Which is a gimmick as it isn't becomming the industries standard unlike the touchscreen on the DS. But whether or not you agree with it being a gimmick, the fact remains that it was the Wii-Mote brought them back to the top, and they need to come up with something new to stay there.

It made them more money than the Xbox did for Microsoft.

It'd be a disaster of a buy. I bet the main Bioware guys would just leave and start up another company cause I bet they wouldn't want to make Wii games.

They have Free Radical now, so let Crytek make the PC games and have Free Radical make the FPS games the Wii should have been having.

My point pertains to Crysis and Crytek developed games on Wii (as per the OP's sentiments), not Free Radical so what does that have to do with anything?

I don't know about EA, but Nintendo should definitely buy a bigger 3rd party company. It might be the only way to improve the poor 3rd party situation this point since most developers are far too stubborn to willingly make Wii games as independent companies.

Crytek owns Free Radical now.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

not a good idea

Yes, I know that. I even whined about it in some threads (not a big Crytek fan but a huge FR fan). He specifically said Crysis on Wii and Crytek makes Crysis. FR will still operate as a daughter branch under the same name as before and won't develop under the Crytek name.

Why not?  Bioware focuses more on story than graphics.  They already made a DS game.  And the Wii controls more closely mimic PC's.

I'd love a Dragon Age with isometric view (removed from the console versions) on Wii where four people can play together, each controlling their own characters action (or online like Buldar's Gate).

I doubt Bioware would have any qualms about Wii development.   They only went to Xbox and 360 first because the programming was basically the same as PC and they are primarily a PC developer.

Would Microsoft and Sony even let Nintendo publish games on their systems? I don't know if they would so I'm not sure how this could work out. It doesn't seem like your idea is well thought out. EA is a failure. It would ruin Nintendo's stock and image. Nintendo is most of the best companies in the world, why destroy value? The combined company would likely be worth less than Nintendo alone.
