A HUGE MILESTONE no doubts

in effect, it may eventually end up outgrossing every  box office movie barring Titanic (eww) & Avatar (smurfs)!!

Love it or hate it, you can't ignore it!

I wonder how much profit Nintendo made with Wii Fit and Wii Fit +.

Above: still the best game of the year.

A lot of money!!!

I was wondering the same about N games, surely a lot more money, since they have sold more copies with their best selling games

Only 5 movies have grossed over 1 billion world wide (Titanic, Avatar, Return of the King, Dead Man's Chest, and The Dark Knight), so this is quite an accomplishment for Modern Warfare 2.

Congratulations are in order, and whether you enjoyed the game or not (hey, it has local multiplayer, so It can't be all bad ), you can't ignore the huge milestone the game has made.

It's worth noting, among the understandable desire for Activision to beat its chest, the relative gap between the cost of a cinema ticket, for example, or CD, vs MW2.

I paid approx $10 to see Avatar and approx $65 (exchange rate adjusted) to play MW2.

That of course doesn't dimish the performance or the profits, but it is worth considering the advantage this gives big performing videogames.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

Good point. In fact, when we look at Avatar, we also must see that ticket sales in themselves for the movie have not even broken the top 100 yet (as far as I know). It's the fact that so many people are seeing this movie in 3D and IMAX (a bit pricer than your typical movie ticket) that is what keeps this movie going strong four weeks after release (earning $50 million in its fourth week in U.S. theaters: incredible).

But I'm just babbling now (You could say that I enjoyed the movie ). It's good to see the game do well. ^_^

Avatar sold 1 billion in 17 days actually. It currently sits at 1.4 billion after 3 and a half weeks.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

Also, this only factors in box office details, the Lord of the Rings Trilogy sold over 6 billion (so about 2 billion each) when factoring in DVD sales.

Congratz I guess. Doesn't deserve it in my opinion thanks to campers.... But I guess that's not ENTIRELY Infinity's fault.
