Seems to me both the Natal and gem don't measure up to the Wiimote even without motion+:

Natal needs bottoms, how are you going to shoot a gun, pause a game, move your character, change weapons?

Gem needs another controller just to get the same experience, and even still no analog stick:(

I am sure is Sony don't make a nun chuck like device a 3rd party will definately, either way PS Wand is better, and more accurate, allthough Wii has the casual market, so you need not be afraid of Sony

PS3 got MMORPGs cooking in the pot, DCU, and most importantly, Free Realms which can reach 2 millions users after 1 month launch. Nobody would suspect WOW would be this big b4 it is was out.

Sony only need to push out Free Realms, DCU, and probably Agents at the end of the year, and BAM, they got a totally new super addictive huge popular genre which M$ refused to go in, and Ninty with their fren codes can only dream on.

I did not realise they had confirmed a price for Natal or the PS Wands just yet, I was just looking at the technology and just thought that there was now way that Natal is going to be cheap, but if MS wants to make it cheaper that's cool I guess. Seriously have you got an article confirming the gem for that price yet, just wondering, anyway good job for finiding that info

Finally if they add on an analogue stick to the gem you will not need a dual shock controler, so you can remove that from the cost, I already have a PSEye, so of course my costs for buying the wands are not going to be as much as some.

Judging from MS's past pricing strategy, the only way Natal will be cheap is if was actually cheap to produce. This would mean that it's composed of cheap technology, I.E. the motion sensing technology wouldn't be as advanced as MS claims (possible proof of this could be found in its latest video leak exhibiting Half-Life 2). This would result to Natal not being much more than an advanced EyeToy, with similar quirky motion sensing technology.

Edit: Now playing FF8 too, btw ^_^

PS3 Will Be King By 2016.

PLAYSTATION®3 is the future.....NOW.......B_E_L_I_E_V_E

That´s what I´ve been trying to tell people all the years. A lot of people say that the Wii had cheap technology, which it only has regarding graphics. It is not cheap to develop a motion control system. In my opinion, the problem for MS/Sony now is that they have to top Nintendo´s motion control system, which might make it expensive. It has always been difficult to release an extra hardware for a console that every developer supports, because at the beginning, the userbase will be very small. Yet, people buy Rock Band/Guitar Hero for hundreds of dollars just for one game series, so maybe thinbgs have changed. However, I am still sceptical about Natal moving that much hardware.

edit: a perfect example for this is motion control plus, which has not been huge yet.

Umm I'm guessing you didn't see the Half-Life 2 footage

Yeah I did, and it make me lose all faith in Natal whatsoever:'(

huh where did  say Wii was doomed lol, I own one so I would never make such a comment. All I said was that PS Wand was better which it is, but that does not mean it will sell more, I beleive it will have some success just not as much as what Wii has experienced;)

Judging from MS's history I would not be surprised if they have lied about Natal being more advanced than EyeToy, I saw the Half-Life video and was not very impressed at Natal either but there you go. I try not to be too judgemental however lol

Awesome about replaying FF8, where u at so far??
