The trailer looks great, but the narrative seems to be aimed at people who never played any kind of Video-Game before

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

Shit just got real

Damn that trailer was great

great trailer, best thing about alan wake is that its a new game not just sequel, however risky they are i think devs should make as many new ip as possible.

After seeing the trailer I'm waiting for Selnors typical comment so I can agree with him.

Info concerning the character models (pre-rendered & in-game):

The actual cinematics are all separate pre-rendered video files. We do have some sequences where we do what I guess could be called real-time cutscenes (like the "reveal camera" moments, for example), but percentage-wise, those are definitely in the minority.

All of the cinematics have been rendered by our game engine, though. It's just that we use more high-resolution models because the camera tends to be a lot closer to the characters than during gameplay, and we throw in a bunch of post-processing to make things look very pretty.

I'm sure we've mentioned this before, but it's also worth pointing out that we do almost all of the major loading in the game during the cinematics -- I believe the only instances you will see a loading screen is when you die, and when you come back to the game after turning it off. (Unless I forgot something, but I'm pretty sure that's it.)

-Remedy.

Was just about post this. I hope that selnor won't have a hearth attack.

MY HYPE LIST: 1) Gran Turismo 5; 2) Civilization V; 3) Starcraft II; 4) The Last Guardian; 5) Metal Gear Solid: Rising

download the alan wake video of live, although slightly grainy it gives u an idea on how final game will look like.

Sounds like what happened with Assassins Creed 2.
Hopefully it'll be better but I still have to watch the last two parts so maybe it picks up.

Another 11 minutes of game, this time around it's daytime.
