No, because it peaked in 2008. Now it goes down the hill.

Even if that's true... that doesn't mean 2010 can't or won't be bigger than 2009, lol.

If something goes down the hill from the peak, why would it go back up?

As long as Wii tops 80 million before 2011 then we'll know that it's selling well and not going downhill.

Buying in 2015: Captain toad: treasure tracker,

mario maker

new 3ds

yoshi woolly world

zelda U

majora's mask 3d

Yes it can!

Will it though? It really depends on the games. Zelda Wii must come out this year, and hopefully it will be designed to appeal to more than core Zelda players.

Also, I don't think Metroid or Galaxy 2 will make a significant difference to hardware sales, so if Zelda only comes out in November and there are no other potential audience-expanders between now and then...it could be iffy.

I do think the first six months of 2010 will outpace the first six months of 2009.

Probably for the various reasons already listed in this thread (lower pricepoint, improved software lineup, higher caliber evergreens, general economic recovery).

It depends if PS Gem and natal are not able to cut into the wii market maybe.

That doesn't make sense.

That isn't actually how it works

OT:

Can it? Well yes, certainly. Will it? I have no idea. I'm not some kind of analyst!

I think Wii will do better this year.

There weren`t a lot of great/selling games in 2009 - at least in my opinion.
2010 seems to have really good, strong titles: Galaxy 2, Red Steel 2, Endless Ocean 2, Metroid: Other M, Zelda Wii, Epic Mickey, Sin and Punishment 2, Fragile, etc.
If these games and others, are well spread out across the year, and with the momentum given by NSMBWii, i think the can sell very well!

i think 2010 > 2007
2010>2009
but 2008>2010

finally 18-21 million
