My friend and I were out yesterday looking for a PS3 and couldnt find a single one. We went to Best Buy, Walmart, Target, Gamespot, everywhere. Up until about 2 days ago Amazon was also out. In doing a little research i realized it is like this in all the midwest (US). I think he is going to order one for Amazon but still I was not expecting PS3's to be in such high demand now. Is this a reason of increased demand or under supply or a little of both? 

they produced 1 million ps3 slims a month. for 2-3 months be4 it was launched. so i think they defiantly under supplied them.

Kind of what I was thinking as well. Is this an issue where everyone else lives?

confirm here in Canada. Bestbuy stores are virtually sold out PS3... (except for a few stores in Edmonton)

In Canada, PS3s were selling well during Boxing week deals (all of the bundles were sold out, but the core system was available). Wiis were also sold out (I still can't believe the demand it still has), while 360 was in stock with most bundles and core systems available, although 360s was definitely better stocked (1000+ available for the bundles online in Futureshop and Bestbuy).

yeah in my area no 120gb,only bundles.... just saying

where i live in canada (barrie) there is a shittt load of slims in wal mart and pretty much every1 aside for blockbuster and i cant remember if EB had any.

no 120gb left here in eastern canada. I had to go 5 provinces away to get one.

Amazon.co.uk is out of 120GBs but it seems they still have many 250GBs left.
