AMAZING! one of the best game experiences I have ever experienced! it was near perfect, the ending was great, the characters were interesting, the story was superb, and Freya saved my ass in the last fight. Let's just say FFVII isn't my favorite game of all time anymore, sorry Carl :) 

In order to make this an actual discussion, where do you place FFIX in the ranks of FF games? (let's not have a humongous flame war okay?)

FF IX is the definitive Final Fantasy.

I always get stuck when deciding my fave FF game.

FF9 or FF7.

Welcome to the club. Final Fantasy IX is indeed my favorite and the best in my opinion.

While FFVI will always remain my all time favorite I have to admit that FFIX barely trails behind.

FFIX is absolutely fantastic. I wish they would make more Final Fantasy games this way.

It's my least favorite FF of the ones I've played till completion/nearly till completion (if I were to include the ones I've played just for a few hours, that "award" would go to FF4)

I've never understood the fascination everyone has with that game
