You can perfectly rile up people by ignoring a console and focussing on other consoles, especially when you do that repeatedly.

Like how people exagerate minutae details? Like how the Wii gets ignored or shunned to the point where the owners of the console on a sales site now barely post about its sales at all? If I cause people to get riled up to the point where it raises some questions then I think its a good thing.

Seems better to post a huge thread about it, as most people won't recognize that in what you're trying to do.

 

Besides, it's not because people now go "yay" over the PS3, that they are the ones that need to be shaken awake, because when the 360 was riding its high, you were not doing this to make people get riled up about the other 'neglected' consoles.  Be blunt and straightforward about it, because the way you're going about it now, isn't reaching the people you're targetting anyway.

The biggest news of the sales thread this week is how the PS3 managed to jump over 1 million. It's rather obvious that that is where the biggest talk lies. (Where were you when people were cheering because the 360 was pummelling the PS3 and everyone kept hammering the ps3? It's the other way around now, although most people are not actually directing their ventilations towards degrading the 360, but by cheering the ps3...)

 

As often, this week 's big news (that has to be confirmed) is PS3 related if we listen to Sony's fans. This last year this was the BAU of VGC.

I don't think we have read the same thead ...  There were lots of cheerleading (which is fine) but also lots of PS3 fanboys 'taking revenge' (which is not fine).

I am a very long time lurker (see when my account was created), and i can say you that this site is more and more becoming a PS3 fanboys fest.

Lots of quality posters have left because they were consistently annoyed  and insulted "because they were Sony haters".

Damn those evil PS3 fans who destroy the internet! Seriously, if you're a long time lurker you would have gotten wind of the shitfest of 2007 where the PS3 was flacked at every turn and owning one meant being legally retarded (what do I know, maybe some of them were). All the consoles get their share of the beating and fans of all three have something in common; they all whine incessantly.

Fanboys of any kind are getting hammered by the mods in here now, the rules have been shaped up and the team is coming down hard on mostly anything that can be perceived as rude or flaming, which is a good thing.

love the drama going on on this thread, fans are ecstatic some haters very unhappy, lot of arguing.

Awesome achievement from the ps3 nonetheless, FFXIII really got those japanese into a buying spree.

Your arrogant comment confuses me, but I assume it was a joke.  I haven't read most of the thread, so I'm not sure.

Manhattan is the West Bank too. In fact you would have to drive past Behrman and Oakwood in order to get to Manhattan from your store. And I have a hard time believing those are the closest stores. Must be a measure of straight difference as opposed to how long it would actually take to get there. As the bird flies Manhattan might be closer than the other two, but they are on the way.

Not to my rant and annoyance of all the Sony fans that came to this thread. I clrearly prefer 360 and Wii fans than Sony fans nad threads like these are why! You get a guy (Seece) discuss the topic and get hammered by the usual omnipresent Sony fans of the moment (CGI in this case while Darth is away) as well as a mod (Monty) who apparently likes to think of himself as God (eg his discussion with Manuelf being a perfect example).

Of course, this is why I love this site (and the numbers of course).

Oh, and I lurk a lot so I know everything 5such as rock being arrogant lately...)

Enjoy people. The PS360 GAP is now 5.7 million.

* Final Fantasy XIII top de software chart.
* New Super Mario Bros. Wii and Modern Warface 2 did very good too.
* Uncharted 2 over 180k and over 2.3 million LTD. Will be hit 3 million soon and surpass LittleBigPlane, Killzone 2 and original Uncharted.
* Forza 3 very good sales too (over 200k).
* Valkyria Chronicles did 45k again... 1 million soon.
