In CoD, I don't mind campers nearly as much as people that use noob-tube grenade launchers. No skill required to use grenade launchers, where you can be an extremely skilled camper.

I am not surprised people are starting to hate MW 2, it has become too popular, all popular games receive this backlash, which does annoy me a little actually

MW 2 is a very different game, it is very very fast paced, whereas there is more strategy to Battlefield, and I actually found it a bit empty in the game I played in the beta. A vehicle based online mode is obviously going to make a very different experience to one without vehicles, but having vehicles does not make it better. The WaW games with tanks sucked

yeah keep telling yourself mw2 is a great game. And also keep telling yourself bfbc2 sucks even though you have probably never touched it.  People arent saying mw2 sucks because its so popular, they are saying it because the game is bad.

now as for bc2.... it totally destroys mw2.

Very very frequently people do hate on things to avoid being mainstream. There are several million gamers who just love CoD, the fact that after 36 hours of doing pretty well, I am only just inside the top 1m, there clearly must be something good about the game. Did you not read by post about my lack of enjoyment of the little of the beta that I have played?

Actually, I think both sucked. I played MW2 for 5 hours or so with my brother, and was overwhelmed by the amount of camping going on. Seriously, it was just horrible. The game itself is good; the shooting is very fun and the amount of online options are great. But the developers really fucked up while designing the maps. Many of them are camping heaven.

Battlefield on the other hand, suffers from a shortage of players. The beta map is quite big for the amount of players, and the map design isn't that great. I only had fun in the town itself, but absolutely hated the bridge and russian stronghold. Also, I hated the fact that some rifles recoil far too much for my taste.

MW2 could have beaten KZ2 as my favorite multiplayer expirience, but sadly, camping has prevented that from happening.

News flash:  camping happens on ALL MULTI PLAYER SHOOTERS.  I don't care what game it is, this goes on in all of them.  Sometimes you get into an entertaining and challenging server, and sometimes you can't seem to find one game where everyone isn't sniping or camping and waiting for you to run by so they can knife you.  This is in no way unique to MW2, and you absolutely cannot call it a bad game because people camp.  That is like calling all mutli player shooters before it crap games too.

Also, if you are camping in MW2, it probably means you're dying a lot.  If you are in a server with a lot of skilled players, you're usually afraid to move for fear of instantly dying.  Most of the popular camping spots still have multiple open angles for people to kill you from.  If you are frustrated by campers, it's probably because they're killing you a lot.  Which means you're getting killed by some of the shittiest players out there.  The guys that camp have no other option but to sit there and wait for someone to run by.  And, by the way, there is a BIG difference between a camper and a really skilled sniper.  Sorry to go off on you for this, but I have been playing online shooters for years, my favorite series being the Battlefield series.  Battlefield 2 on the PC gave me some of the best multi player experiences I have ever had.  But it had campers too.  So did Quake.  So did CounterStrike.  So did Enemy Territory.

MW2 is a successful game because it rewards you a lot for what you do.  Any fool can put in all the hours and rank up to level 70.  HOWEVER, if you actually become SKILLED at the game, there is a whole lot of stuff to unlock and the process of getting that stuff is an absolute blast.  And while I don't like the WWII titles in the CoD series (with the exception of maybe CoD2), the 2 Modern Warfare games have amazing single player campaigns too.

I agree with you, BTW.  Killzone 2 is awesome.

Yeah, I know camping happens in all online shooters, but i had never played a game in which for 10 consecutive games, there were moments in which I couldn't go anywhere because someone would kill me through a really small opening, again and again. I have no doubt a skilled player will masacre campers, but the purpose of games is to entertain EVERYONE. New players, skilled players etc. MW2, for the time being doesn't allow that. It is an extremely frustrating expirience to beginers.

I have played Killzone 2 a lot, Resistance 2, MGO, UC2, etc. and I never complained about camping in those games. Yes, sometimes you get spawn camped in KZ2 and MGO, but it doesn't ruin the expirience at all.

The thing is, in MW2 you die very quickly, grenade tossing sucks, and some maps have a really poor design.

Anyways, I don't know why I keep getting called for giving my opinion about this, actually many other people think like me.

i always liked Battlefield more. its fun, it needs skill, Call of duty is too noob friendly they even have aiming help where you shoot near someone and it moves the aiming line for you.

also the storyline is ridiculous , its always about shock factor and it gets old the first game you play (since they all do the same thing)

DICE are quite an amazing devs, i can't wait to see what MoH is going to be like.

This is not the case in multi player.  There is no aim assistance.  You actually have to be able to hit your target.  This is, however, the case in the single player.

nope im talking about Multiplayer, its very very noob friendly.

First of all, again, the multi player in MW2 DOES NOT auto aim for you.  Period.  It just simply doesn't.  You're wrong on that point.  You actually have to be pretty accurate to kill someone in MW2's multiplayer.  In the single player, all you have to do is be somewhat close when you use your site and it points you right at the guy, which I think you can even turn off if you want.  I may be wrong on that.

Also, if a game is noob friendly, then so be it.  Don't you like when there are lots of servers going and lots of games to join?  If there is an influx of "noobs" then you can have fun easily killing them for awhile.  The bad ones will eventually stop playing the game, and the good ones will stick around and provide some good competition.

And again, about the camping (whoever that other guy is that keeps bringing it up) MW2 is actually more random as far as where you spawn, so I have trouble believing that you get camped more in MW2 than in a BF game.  It sounds to me like you just suck at the game.

I beg to differ.  The danger close perk is a legitimate perk around which to base a kit.  That's my primary kit and that includes grenade launchers.  In order to use this I had to give up stopping power (a crutch a lot of people rely on).  Camping is an annoying tactic that requires NO skill thanks to heartbeat sensors and the like.  Getting the right angles on your grenade launcher from afar and knowing when to have the launcher's sight up rather than your regular gun sight takes a lot of practice and skill.  Running around with just your launcher sight up all the time is a good way to get killed.

I don't get tired of seeing this over and over, it looks fun.

When I watched this video all I could say was WOW!  I loved when the building was destroyed by the explosives!  I have the Beta but I haven't played it much.  I guess I've been too busy but I might have to go and play it a little more now thanks to this video.

Basically, if you sit in one place for longer than 1 or 2 kills and you're not using a sniper rifle, you are a wimp and are ruining the game for a lot of people. I know the point is to shoot your enemy before he shoots you, but nobody likes the soldier that hides in a corner while everyone else is out fighting. How about supporting your teammates and moving around like a proper squad. Get someone's back for a change. Don't just be out for yourself and your own K/D ratio. Camp if you want in FFA, but on TDM, forget it.

BTW, just to be clear, I understand the difference between camping and holding a position in a mode such as domination.

FPSes from the early 2000s make MW2 look silly too.

That's because of the poor match-making system this game has ..   example: a level 2 vs a level 8.  no chance for that beginner there .

I'm a big fan of COD and the best of all for me is still COD4 its seems the that the newer versions of COD series are distancing away from being hardcore and being more accessible for the mainstream, anybody can now rack up kills in some way or another.

Its so easy to snipe in MW2 and easer if using a thermal scope, assault rifles don't recoil as much like in COD4, is like you have it in auto steady aim even if you don't use that perk and when using the steady aim perk the weapons don't even flinch .

Want to rack up kills use commando pro + marathon pro + lightweight pro and you will be a Rambo on steroids, you'd be knifing ppl from 30 feet away while being shot at ...lol   after that your in a killing streak.

I not saying MW2 is a bad game in anyway is just easer ( for me ) to get kills and into killing streak, unlike COD4 it takes the most of skilled gamers to get the most kills.

To bad IW stopped supporting COD4, this game just needed to add more maps and if possible weapons upgrades it would've still be fighting for 1st place againts Halo 3 of most played on XBOX Live..

Call of Duty 4 is still going strong on Live according to Mayor Nelson ..

Xbox 360 Top LIVE Titles

1) Modern Warfare 2

2) Halo 3

3) World at War

4) Call of Duty 4

5) GTA 4

Soon I'll see Bad Company 2 make it in this list .
