So this is going to be something like a Western RPG where you watch the game play itself or is it something that is actually useful?

No.  No.  No.

It's Nintendo's long awaited rip-off of MGS.

Your stress levels will be tested as you watch thrilling cut scenes.

Oh great, Nintendo is ripping off someone else yet again. They are so lazy.

Just don't expect the female characters in the game to wear dresses.

Actually, don't expect there to be female characters at all.  They'll just be nameless Toads.

Remember, No rushin'.. heart beats.

Hot women can get your heart rate up so it's probably best that they're left out anyway.

Don't they already have this game? It's called Endless Ocean

So, what genre game is this?

The entire game consists of this video looping over and over again, so...

I hope it flops and sells like 5 million copies or something.

I find it hard to imagine how this will end up working, but if it manages it, it could be another phenomenon.

Taking in information about the player's state and use that is probably going to be one of the big steps in gaming. I can't help but think games like Shattered Memories are the first small steps in this direction (taking account of your psychological profile as you play). It won't be the sort of revolution that motion controls were, but that does not downplay it's importance.

Have there been games that tried this sort of thing before?

A game I'm developing with some friends:

It is largely a technical exercise but feedback is appreciated.

I know that's a veiled compliment, but the expectations should not be put so high for this one. Wii Fit was genius, but the execution of a fitness game is not such a difficult challenge as the execution of a relaxation game. This will be more experimental, less guaranteed of success as Wii Fit.

There was a Japan only Tetris game for the Nintendo 64 which measured your pulse and that influenced how fast the blocks would drop.

I wasn't aware of this.  I did fall asleep playing Tetrisphere once on my N64 though.

If Wii Music can hit 4m+ i believe this will hit 5m+

EDIT: Just checked Wii Music sales, could have swore it was 4m+, im shocked it hasn't broken 3m yet...

Is this works really well, it could become a major system seller as people buy a second Wii to put in their bed room just to help them goto sleep. Even better than David Letterman.

And once Wii is secure in every bedroom in the world. PakChiuCheng will at long last get his wish.
