Taking in information about the player's state and use that is probably going to be one of the big steps in gaming. I can't help but think games like Shattered Memories are the first small steps in this direction (taking account of your psychological profile as you play). It won't be the sort of revolution that motion controls were, but that does not downplay it's importance.

There was a Japan only Tetris game for the Nintendo 64 which measured your pulse and that influenced how fast the blocks would drop.

I wasn't aware of this. I did fall asleep playing Tetrisphere once on my N64 though.
