yes it does
if anything in JApan the series DECLINED from GT1 to GT2 & then never again
in America from GT3 to GT4
but after that its not DECLINED at all....lol
The sun set on sim racing titles when Papyrus died. What people think of as "racing sims" today (Forza and GT) are mere shadows of what has come before dressed up with much prettier graphics and sound.

Gran Turismo wont sell cuz you can't play co-op story mode, you can't call in air strikes, and there are no hookers on the tracks to pick up. Total Flop!!
Sim racers are still more popular than arcade racers for the most part.
| CGI-Quality said: lol......seriously though, I would honestly like to understand how GT has lost popularity. If we go by this logic, WITHOUT a proper GT release, then Halo must be on a decline as well, as ODST wasn't a full game and didn't sell like previous Halo titles, AND HAS a proper full release on the market. I know, sounds rather ridiculous doesn't it? |
I do think GT5 will sell less, but I won't even bother explaining that one.
And yes, I'd say Halo's popularity has staled a bit. Modern Warfare is new guy in town and MW2 will likely come close to doubling Halo 3's sales in the long run.
