Hmm what are the chances of MW2 (PS3) hitting 100k FW ?
Game is great tbh it deserves the sales.

I remember someone around here has been recently telling me that Tales of series is increasing in popularity. Nah. I've checked some old Famitsu data and it appears that Tales of Destiny and Symphonia were once almost million sellers in Japan. This franchise has sure seen better days.
Anyway I wonder how japanese 3rd parties will treat the Wii next year.
Meh. Was afraid of this.
Anyway, Modern Warfare 2 did great.
Tales of Graces, eh. It looks like it'll sell on par with just about every other Tales this gen, unfortunately (see handhelds). I never bought the "Team Destiny > Team Symphonia," the game comparisons were never really fair. It may be that the opposite is now true.
Still, due to the holidays it will definitely pass ToS2. Not all hope is lost, yet. If its sales pattern is anything like the last few Tales released December, it still has a shot at sales as high as 300k. Let's hope for the best, the home consoles in Japan need it!

I think the only major game coming out for the Wii next year that has been announced so far is Sengoku Basara 3, but it's multiplatform with the PS3, and the Wii version hasn't got online multiplayer. Besides that, it has RE:DSC and then there's nothing left for the rest of the year. I think it will be a tough year for the Wii in Japan.

Bets with Conegamer:
Pandora's Tower will have an opening week of less than 37k in Japan. (Won!)
Pandora's Tower will sell less than 100k lifetime in Japan.
Stakes: 1 week of avatar control for each one.

Destiny, yeah. Symphonia, absolutely not. It was a million seller worldwide, but it sold 320k in Japan.
I'm a little surprised, it's lower than I expected but it's first day with little info (bundles counted or not?) so it's a little early to be hitting the panic button.

I'm pretty optimistic about Tales of Graces because I think it could end up selling about 200k units during the entire week if it has a good word of mouth.
It had even bundles?
I think it are good sales for a Tales game though.....
first day sales and people already say ToG is flop? oh dear there is something very wrong in this world.
If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing
