Forums - Sales - Why is Dragon Age selling so little on consoles?

It's a shame it hasn't got better sales, but still it will easily reach 1,5 mill on X360 and well over 1 mill on PS3.

Doubt it will sell 4 mill on PC though (although Steam bargains for $10 two or three years from now will give it long legs, so who knows).

Dragon Age is my GOTY.

I was going to get the 360 version until I found out your stuck with an over-the-shoulder view during combat. That's totally unacceptable to me for a game of this type were you need the isometric view for tactical reasons. I'll get it on PC.... when I get a new PC that'll run it.

Game is selling good for what it is. Console gamers preffer "plug and play" gaming. These grinding RPGs do not appeal to a lot of people that casually play Madden or COD on a weekly basis hence why they bought a console and not a complicated gaming PC.

Well i havent picked up a copy yet cause its an EA game and their game prices drop fast. Itll be $19.99 soon enough =)

It's true, last week all EA games were on sale for $39.99

Actually I prefer the over-the-shoulder view on PC too. Only when I need to place an AoE spell in tight areas I use the isometric view.

Because the over-the-shoulder view can be still zoomed out pretty far, I assume it works the same on the console versions, yes?

Dragon Age is not a grinding RPG at all. It has no grinding whatsoever, just like Baldur's Gate 2. I understand that many console gamers prefer a simple RPG, but Dragon Age is not complicated to play at all.

Infact, it's more user-friendly to play than BG2 because you can easily pre-define what every character does automatically, so you don't even need to play the combat yourself. You can just left them do their thing on their own, although it's harder to win this way.

Because the game is crap.

Well from what i have played of it. I might try and get into later tonight
