I really doubt that Sony motion wand will have any impact, Wii have captured the casual market, Ps3 and MS can try to get some share but its going to be marginal compared to nintendo

Blah blah blah trolling blah blah blah.

I for one am excited for the PS3 Gem/Wand/Sphere, since there's an opportunity for re-making a lot of amazing PS3 games (whether exclusive or multiplatform) with motion controls.

I agree with you, but what you said doesn't mean he was trolling.

In fact depending on what Microsoft does with Natal and the reception of the PS3 wand, I could actually trade my 360 for a PS3.

I was just annoyed because it really had little to do with the thread at hand except pushing Nintendo superiority.

I hope all the motion control schemes do well, but the PS-Sphere just seems like it would help the PS3 become a strong HD alternative to the Wii for a lot of people. And that could be very beneficial for Sony. I just hope they don't mess it up like they do with a lot of things.

lol i cant believe i was accused on trolling for stating my opinion, i just think that Wii is a brand that casual customers go for instead of PS3 or Xbox , i might be wrong but this doesnt mean im trolling

It's go nothing to do with Nintendo superiority. The Wand is an add on. Add ons rarely succeed. It's why I think Natal and the Wand will both tank. Even when Add ons manage to sell well they get meager support. The Wii Balance Board being the most recent example.

Maybe because it had nothing to do with the thread at hand. I'd rather not argue over this, but it was uncalled for.

@NJ - Yup, as said, the system for the nunchuck will keep Sony or MS from being able to make a handheld thumbstick system anywhere near similar, which is what Sony is trying to find a way around. It seems that the business Sony is trying to provide, since it already has a core audience, is to use the Gem as a method of drawing in the casual crowd. Listening/reading to their press conferences regarding it from E3 onward, it really seems they are planning to push it for quick casual gaming moreso than intergrating it for the core audience. Ultimately, time will tell, but Sony's got it's work cut out for itself in trying to figure out a method for character movement. I'd expect a hendheld d-pad.

edit:

@lolsiclaw - its not worth arguing with Montana, he doesn't apologize, ever, even if caught red-handed at the murder scene.

Oh god, that's awful.

I prefer Sixense.

Sphere's pretty cool

Maybe they should call it Jewelshock! xD

GEM was digital research's gui. I wonder if someone still holds the trademark.

Kinda lame...but I see where it comes from. It's Sony's little gem, and it shines different colors like gemstones

Gem has been stated to be a codename, not the official one - SCEA
