To be honest, I'm not sure this warrants a Blu-ray release. It would be better off as a PSN/Budget game, IMO, like EyePet. |
I remember the same being said about LBP, that it should be a PSN title. I bought the game full price retail and have never regretted it for a second. I expect this game to be the same.

I also thought that about LBP.
But...LBP was incredible. It had such enormous amounts of content, such huge potential and endless possibilities, that it undoubtedly justified a Blu-ray release.
I'm not seeing anything like that here. I'm seeing karts driving around a circuit and occasionally shooting rockets at each other. And without, it seems, the fantastic track design of Mario Kart.

Don't worry man, I've played a track in the Arabian setting with shortcuts (where walls open and close, streets become narrower and narrower) and where the enemy uses them too. On top of that, you can build up powerups. You don't have to fire them, just gather another one and it becomes increasingly powerful. There's also the +/- meter where you can get + for drifting, nice driving, ramming someone who is gathering + points, and so on. If you're hit while doing something cool (and it therefore fails), he will get your + points, making it quite tactical.
Add the fun graphics and the easy editor and you've LBP gold again
