Based on data from GFK Chart-Track, we can now see that Infinity Ward's Modern Warfare 2 has sold 2,356,250 copies to date, or in its first 4 weeks on the market.

Week 1: 1,780,000
Week 2: 249,200 (-86 %)
Week 3: 169,456 (-32 %)
Week 4: 157,594 (-7 %)

 

So that's almost 2.4 million copies. What's your opinion on this? I think it's bad sales for Modern Warfare 2. They said it would break records, but it has to sell another 600k in order to become UK's fastest-selling video game of all time.

Better than FIFA 10, its main competitor for best selling game this christmas.

May I point out there are about 6.5m PS360s in the UK, so it has sold to more than 1/3 of gamers here

According to this, it's the PS2 version of GTA San Andreas.

 

But Modern Warfare 2 smashed those sales. The 360 version managed to sell 1 million in its first week !!!
