9.9/10
its almost a perfect game, but puzzles are still lame imo and not enough epic action after the epic tank fight.

9.7
It ticks all the boxes. Fantastic single player. Fantastic multiplayer. Fantastic graphics. Fantastic sound. Fantastic value.
One of the best games ever.

This is a game that is so polished in every level that makes you think that games have already passed movies in quality and immersion. Probably one of the best games of the generation and the funniest for the ps3, but not the best. I'll give it a 9.5.
+ Graphics are just... wow..
+ Excellent sound (music, voice acting, explosions, overall).
+ The action is fast-pacing enough to make you play this game in one or to sits.
+ The option to put english voice and subtitles in the language you prefer (yes, there are few games in wich you can).
+ Long game in comparison with drakes fortune.
+ fun coop and mp
- It lacks of decent boss fightsm in fact bosses are not in the final part of the stage, are like "mini" bosses (i think i like the old fashioned boss with a health bar)
- The final boss is boring
- Trophies for each 10 treasures??.. cmon, i hate to collect 100 of something, it just dont make sense
Overall, a excellent game, in par with metal gear 4, demon's souls and the other gems of ps3..
9.5
p.s : sorry about the english..
2 years ago, an awesome game from Naughty Dog came out. It was called Uncharted: Drake's Fortune. It was a really fun game, with an engaging story, characters that seemed to be almost real, and fun to play. It was said to be the best graphically looking game of it's time, and it stills looks pretty good today. Now, two years later, we have the sequel, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves. It might be hard to imagine, but it surpasses the original in so many ways, it feels like a whole new game.
One main reason people will play this one is because of the story. It's centered around Marco Polo's journey, and Nathan Drake, the sly and awesome treasure hunter from the first game, is trying to solve the mystery. With a few characters from the first one returning, this game shows, from the first level, that it's not your ordinary game.
Playing the game is basically centered around three main elements: cover-based shooting, platforming, and puzzle solving. These three elements never seem to get old, even if you got relatively the same thing in the first game. The game changes it around. You might be shooting a turret at other enemies, or hopping from truck to truck on a mountain, or carefully aiming your shots on a train. This game will change around how you play many times through the campaign, that you'll be surprised.
The series is also known for it's characters that seem real, and what helps are the voice actors. They really love their job, and it shows in their performances. Nathan Drake stands out among all of them, giving you the feeling that ANYTHING can get thrown at him, and he'll always make it out alive. With many more supporting characters, and a memorable villain, you'll watch every character with intrigue, hoping they'll live through everything.
This game has a ton of replay value. With 5 difficulty levels to choose from, and over 30 things to buy for singleplayer, this game won't be put down for awhile. It has has multiplayer, which most might think won't go well, but it does, and it has over 10 different modes to play.
Uncharted 2: Among Thieves is a MUST HAVE for any PS3 owners.
THUS i award it 10 points over 10.

Oh man, I gotta give this a 10. It would have been a 9 if there was no multiplayer but with multiplayer, it's def. one of the best games out there. I am actually playing the game right now. I'm just between games, so typing this. lol. it has great graphics, no load times and is a lot of fun, what more can i ask for?
| KylieDog said: 8.5 It would have been 9.5 if not for the fact that post-release patches have ruined the multiplayer. Day one I could play Plunder easily but then they did an update that grouped every single objective based game into one menu, forcing you to either keep quitting from matchmaking to XMB then relaunching game or playing a game mode that you do not like. Then to make it worse they released a patch that gives you a $40,000 point fine if you disconnect from a match or game lobby once vote has finished in any form which can also cause you to lose levels. Quite often matches will not make it past the loading screen if someone else quits during the load, leaving you no choice but to quit to XMB or else it stays on loading screen forever, when you retsart game you'll get punished that $40,000 because it still counts as quit. In co-op when someone else leaves the games ends, 50/50 chance it will punish you $40,000 even if you were not the one who quit, another problem is you start co-op them someone goes AFK and you cannot progress and eventually you'll have to quit yourself, terrible easy form of griefing. I find that for every $1000 I earn about $500 of that gets fined for quits that I did not willingly do, or even at all. Other issues - Freezing bug still in chapter 25...they know about it, 3 updates yet still no fix? - Lame skill ranking system - Melee sync online is poor - Poor matchmaking system |
There's now a playlist with only Plunder. Just so that you know.
