I don't think theres any real fix, it seems random. Once it didn't work at all for me for like a week. Then all of a sudden it works perfect?

Only advice I can give you is keep trying over and over if your really desprate

I must live in a psn hotspot or something, because I pretty much never get sync errors, and If I do, it's because my connection dropped from the router.
