haha...I don't know. Galaxy 1 was a hell of a game...if that didn't do it does Galaxy 2 stand a chance?

I think some new gaming expereince will have to come out and replace our numebr 1 games.

Like my number 1 in order are:

Sonic 2 (1992 - 1994), Mortal Kombat 2 (1994 - 1996), Resident Evil (1996-1998), Castlevania SOTN (1998 - present)

Each time a game got dethroned it was because I discovered somethign new and the sequel to my favorite game was not as good.

Well, the problems I had with Galaxy (too easy, too small areas) are apparently being solved by Galaxy 2 so I'm hopeful. Of course, I'd like for something new to claim the throne, like games did for you, but I've only had two "best games ever"... First one being A Link to the Past, which then got surpassed by Mario 64 ... And now Mario 64 has been sitting there an awful long time ^^ I've almost given up hope of it ever being surpassed (to me).

Not even the best MGS game, that goes to the PS1 game, Metal Gear Solid. Game informer put MGS4 at 108 out of 200, which is pretty accurate if you ask me. Of course they put it behind Batman:AA (104) and Gears of War (106)!

Yes, because not owning a PS3 automatically negates any opinion you might have of any games on the platform - Playing is not important, owning is.

When you own every console except the PS3, and go on to say it's the worst in the series... It gives off the impression you aint beaten it yourself...

Oh, well, that, I agree with. If you haven't played a game you shouldn't voice an opinion of it. I suppose you could complain about graphics or artistic direction, but certainly not immersion, gameplay or anything relating to actually playing the game. If that's the point we're trying to make - that one should not judge a game without having played it - then I am in full agreement.

This "game" is indeed the best ever! It was just under "Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within" when it came to enjoyment!

P.S. I'm allowed to post here since the thread says greatest game ever.
