Now onto inFAMOUS...it's the same situation as U2, except MUCH worse. inFAMOUS is probably the 3rd best game i have EVER played (only Uncharted 2 and Metal Gear Solid 4 are above it): great action, great powers, great gameplay, great story, great animation, great graphics, great characters, and so on and so forth.

 

L4D2 is a very high quality game. The issues you mentioned about it ended up being misplaced, and most of the annoyed fans were PC users miffed by Valve going back on their word, but I doubt anyone but the most consistent blog and forum reader even knew about the boycott or any of that. Fun to play online shooters generally do very well on the x360.

inFAMOUS...if that's really the best game you've ever played, I strongly suggest using the PS1 feature of your ps3 to broaden your horizons a bit. If it plays ps2 games, even better.

I think a lot of this is due to the older age demographic PS3 has, People who are older usually have a lot more responsibilities, and will only buy the 'big' games. They have kids and a wife, and not enough money to buy all the new games.

Tha really tells you something... Ps3 is only 2 games per console behing 360 in its home territory when 360 games always sell better multiplat AND 360 has Halo 3... thats outstanding. Ps3 probablly makes that up WW... maybe even beats out the 360 considering I bet Japan heavily favors Ps3

That's 2 games per console sold AND 8.8 * 9 million consoles behind. that's roughly 100,000,000 less software unit sales. Assuming games sell at an average of $40, that's $4 Billion. Yes, that does really tell you something.

And yet you completely ignore Japan and Europe two territories Ps3 consistantly outsellfs 360... so again... it says a lot about the ps3.

The tie ratio of the PS3 in Japan is dead last among all consoles and is only ahead of the PSP.

Where's Gears of War 1 ?

Gears of War was timed exclusive and now is only x360 console exclusive. This list contains with only real exclusives.

I can add Gears of War, Mass Effect and L4D, but picture won`t change much.

No, what doesn't change much is semantics. The fact that 360 can have so many more 2m+ sellers while sharing them with PC shows its strength selling, if anything. Expecially since this forum is exclusively talking about PS3 game sales vs 360.

Oh, and Little Big Planet/Resistance: Fall of Man are now on the PSP, so they aren't PS3 exclusives. (And if we're talking Sony vs Microsoft Exclusives, games like Gears 1/Mass Effect/L4D2 etc are still limited to Microsoft platforms)

Resistance fall of man is definetly not on the psp. I think you may be refering to Resistance Retribution which is actually a sequel to the first resistnace.

I'm talking about the ability of the Ps3 selling software. When you only sell 1 million consoles a 5 AR isnt very impressive and it'll only get worse after FF13
