I don't believe payola still exists.. Radio stations play whats now and whats good.. Just because the music isn't from the 70's and is about drugs doesn't NOT make it real music. lol

 

Stevie Wonder is a REAL musician who has been around for years. IMO the beatles don't have a quarter the talent he does.

Labels pay for things they are supposed to! Payola is illegal! These indy artists just can't afford promo to promote themselves just because nobody cares for their music, cause most of it is a lost cause.

ps3... you are putting waaaaaaay too much stock in trivial things like sales, awards, and air time. no one is dening she is popular now. but they sure the hell aren't blinded by the taylor swift hype like you are. when it dies down you will realize how silly you were in thinking these things. you can bring up whatever you like... and each example you use people can counter with things like milli and vanilli and david hasselhoff... do you think those guys were legendary too?
