Maybe in Japan.
But as for Sony and MS getting the doom meter, i wouldn't say Sony are useless in the handheld department. I wouldn't exactly call the PSP line a failure as a whole.

PS3 may be up, but it still lags well behind the Wii, even in a week where it had aggressive bundling

Only due to PS3's slim + massive pricedrop. 360's down yoy too.
PSP isn't cannibalizing anything because it's walking dead in the west. Still, DS alone being greater than PS3 and Wii combined is nothing short of amazing.

Its not a failure, but its not anywhere near the level of the DS

Well, it wasn't a failure... but it's petered out pretty much everywhere but Japan and the big software revival of 2009 has pretty much been a failure too. Then there's GO on top of that...

When looking at the big picture, not even Wii or PS2 are on DS level.
PSP is the best selling non-Nintendo handheld, and it has also sold 50million+ units. Goes to show that if handhelds become the big thing... Sony will still have a place in the industry.

Well the Wii marketshare is slowly going down so who knows...
PS3-Xbox360 gap : 1.5 millions and going up in PS3 favor !

Well that's more because Sony has increased its sales by aggressive price cutting and bundling, while continuing to lose money.
Nintendo's marketshare may be down, but its still swimming in cash, seems to indicate its a healthier company than Sony.
