Forums - Nintendo - The next Mario Kart!

I hated the Double Dash feature; keep that gone. I like the bikes for variety. As for tracks I think what they should do is have 16 new tracks, 16 old tracks and then they should retroactively re-work all the old tracks from previous games and make them available to download for $1 a piece or 5 for $3 or something like that. That way you can buy whatever additional tracks you really enjoyed from previous games and it's all good.

Bah!

Support for 12 people in local multiplayer...3 systems, 3 game discs and 3 televisions..once a week I gather about 7 or 8 friends for some Mario Kart local multiplayer....the 3 losers hand over their controllers to the others while the winner keeps his...that wouldn´t be necessary if the game supported up to 8 players at least.

Less blue shell spam.

I just meant the double dash mode as an added mode, but thats a good idea regarding the tracks downloading your favourite ones, but how would it work online because not everyone will have the same tracks as you?

i love bikes in Mario Kart Wii they need to add them to Mario Kart DS2.

flamethrower and ninjas - those are the only things missing from MK games.

Now i think the next mario kart on the next nintendo system should have all new tracks and none of the old ones in, also i think they should get rid of the bikes to, this is mario KART after all, they should also add a double dash mode keep the online, and battle mode like normal and come up with some new weapons again!

What would you like to see in the next mario kart game?

the bikes are a decent idead... no more old tracks and double dash was kinda goofy

Brawl Code- 3179-6370-3098 Name:Richi

Part of the appeal of Mario Kart is how its randomness favors newer players. In particular, this includes the items that cannot be countered, like the blue shell.

I'd say they should offer 2 main play modes, one being more noob friendly, while the other minimizes the frustrating luck factor. I doubt they'll do this, though.

They need to improve battle mode. The maps are way too damn big, the game often played with only 4 players. It should be balanced around this.

Lastly, the online multiplayer. Include 4 player split screen online, and have it run smoothly (60fps), along with some matchmaking that takes split screen into account. Wii console vs console (e.g. 4v4) would be awesome.

Let's get the supermoves back again.
Nothing more bland about mkwii than no supermoves.

I'd say the one glaring fault of MK Wii was how they completely ruined the battle mode. In MK64 Battle took up countless nights with my friends. In the new version it's barely worth playing.

A renewed focus on battle (including the ability to actually die!) would be a big plus for me.

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

You can counter the blue shell with the star actually, there have been a few times when my character was saved by my star status in a tight race where I just got to the front.

But the blue shell is supposed to be annoying, that's part of the fun of it. Especially if you're doing local multiplayer, it lightens up the room.
