Wii fans have a hard time accepting that, losing momentum was expected, the thing sold crazy last year, there was no way it could keep up. It's not a bad thing, this gave people a chance to get a cheaper Wii now.

The Wii has lost momentum, although it's still doing amazing numbers compared to the HD twins.

And maybe just maybe the PS3 is picking up some of the lost sales (momentum) and is actually gaining.

Looking at it though....the Wii is down in sales, the 360 is down in sales and the PS3 is up in sales, so YOY the sales are down for the 360 and Wii whereas the PS3 is picking up and maybe picking up the lost sales from the Wii and 360 although at the end of the day the Wii is still massively outselling the PS3 and 360.

Isn't losing momentum inevitable? Ah well we'll take that for PR sake.

Why can't people admit that the Wii has lost momentum? Even after color change, Wii motion plus and a price cut its down yoy in its third year.
The PS3 won't ever catch it, that much is certain but Nintendo are losing momentum, quite a bit actually.
Like some of you have stated; its still outselling the competition rather heavily so what does it matter?

Looking at a bunch of predictions from last year, a lot of people thought the Wii would do better/equal to last year.

"80 Million Wii's by 2010"... For example.

I did not finish reading all the comments, but this is silly. Big deal if Nintendo is losing momentum. If Nintendo does not ever sell another DS or Wii after black Friday. The PS3 will never match the numbers Nintendo put up.

I know it's all rumors and speculation, but 2012 release of the power 7 PS4 is not enough time to build sales.  I can only see the PS3 having maybe 20 million more PS3 owners.

HD Twins is a verys imple way of saying PS360 as 90% of their libraries are the same

no consoles have shared such a similar amount of games

They're not really related. He didn't do a direct comparison - which would mean him saying the Wii is still thrashing the PS3.  Not to mention the PS3 was down YoY for the majority of the year and still might not make their 13 million projected shipment.

No... they are mostly the same.

The term is perfectly valid.

Plenty of identical twins have small differences that set them apart.  For example Tiki and Ronde Barber.

They're identical twins, yet have enough differences that you can tell them apart.

Tiki is much more media savvy, and he's an NFL Runningback vs Ronde who is an NFL CB and a little more serious.

They're actually more different then the HD Twins... and they're identical twins.

Once again.  Actual twins have more differences then the 360 and PS3 do with each other.

I don't know how many identical twins you know... but twins are very rarely EXACTLY the same.
