You obviously didn't play BF2 on PC. Completely different games.

There may be a console (downgraded) version of BF3 a year or two after the PC version just like BF2 had, but the difference is that BFBC2 was made on consoles for consoles with the PC version as a port with, hopefully, a few better features, like map size and player count.

BF3 is rumored to be built on PCs for PCs. Basically it seems like they are splitting the series between the main BF series remaining PC oriented and the BFBC series becoming console oriented. Which is perfectly fine and the way it should be.

A fully created PC version is sooooooooo much better than any FPS on any console.

No, just rumor and speculation.

We know what they are essentially doing with BFBC2. We don't know final specs of the PC version.

We know they are working on BF3 and it is a PC based game.

So, the logical steps and hints on EA/Battlefield forums from insiders is that it will be PC game in the same vein as BF2. It will obviuosly have HD graphics and the basic upgrades from BFBC2, i.e. destruction.

So, the only other areas of speculation are other features, like map sizes, player count, etc. Since every other BF PC game had at least 64 players, massive scaleable maps, and so on, its not to hard to realize this will all be in BF3, if not larger.

Also, keep in mind that Dice/EA hasn't even considered dropping dedicated servers and such on PC games. Dice specifically stated that if the changes they want don't improve the gaming experience, they don't do it. Thus, dedicated servers remain for BFBC2 and will continue to do so in future games.

In fact BF games tend to release mods from respected individuals as part of boosters later in the life. CoD is simply moving to a console only world. Dice/EA want to run in both platforms which is why the BF franchise is basically splitting.

Well so far i've been very pleased with BFBC2 Beta, I've played BFBC thoroughly, over 350hours... and the many improvements of BFBC2 are very welcome, the classes seem much more balanced and the squad feel is great, amount of damage you can take is less which forces you to play more tactically,
full destruction is real fun : yesterday I aimed a drone missile at a sniper on a rooftop and ended with 3 addtional kills when the whole building collapsed...
few issues have still to be sorted out, like spawn kill, tank repair (too quick I think), and few glitches

True, however, its an opinion that anyone who has played BF PC games and console FPS games would share. Kinda the same as saying adding sugar to a food item will make it taste better. An opinion, sure, but a nearly worldwide accepted truth.

Adding sugar to a curry, or a burger, or a pasta, or any number of other dishes, will kill the taste and make it taste foul.

It's actually kinda true. Consoles are too limiting and lack any form of community to support it. The 2 essentials for any good game.

Halo series, CoD series etc.

I'm sure that out of those millions the majority won't agree with you. I could list at least 20 console FPS that are in my opinion better than Battlefield 2, Battlefield 2142 and Battlefield Vietnam.

BC2 and GoW are 2 games that make me really really want a trey >.
