There's too many colors for a NES game IMO. It looks more like an amateur Gamer Maker game than anything. Still pretty cool though!

"Remade in the NES retro style, the resolution is at 256 x 240 and features 16 colors and a 4 sound channel soundtrack." Copied straight from the YouTube description.

OP: That actually looks really fun.

OK, well it's not the NES retro style. Sorry.

Random game thought :
Why is Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 getting so much hate? We finally get a real game and they're not even satisfied... I'm starting to hate the gaming community so f****** much...

Great effort, I love it. However, the NES was capable of a bit more than this, especially in the music dept, the bland tiles, the repeated enemy models (at least a few different types of zombies please), and the overall low level of difficulty.

Obviously it would take a team of programmers (smaller than the old school NES teams due to shortcuts/advances in tech, but still a team) to get a really comparable game, but as a fan service, it's fantastic. I love the survivor models.

Fallout 3 on NES would take three weeks to load the map.

There are way more than 16 colours on screen at once.

I am recalling from memory:

Sprite can contain 4 colors. 3 visible, one acts as a transparent color.

The screen max was 256 colors at once, but it is limited by pallet.

Impressive, but NES it is not.

The sound doesn't sound like the NES sound chip, and there is just something unnatural about the graphics.

They should have made it a fully fledged NES ROM, then it would have been too awesome for words.

I LOVE ICELAND!

No, it wouldn't, NES used cartridges which had no loading times.

Nice. It would have had a huge success back then.

Everyone is dropping their monocles over me saying this is for NES, I can only imagine the outrage had I gone with my original idea of saying this was going to be the Wii version of Left 4 Dead.

Man that would've been the funniest thread this year. Just imaging it in my head makes me laugh.
