That would be awesome, i'd watch the show just to see the reactions to that.
Hell no , and here is why
1-Nintendo dont need to do it
2-Its not a world wide thing
3-Iwata always show the new zelda and GDC in Jan
4-Not at E3 cuz there the focus will be at other M and VS
5-WHY IN THE NAME OF MIYAMOTO NINTENDO WOULD GIVE SUCH A HUGE EXCLUSIVE FOR SPIKE TV ?
Just a guess
GO PATS! 2012 THE YEAR OF NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS'S 4TH SUPER BOWL!

I mean I guess it would be a good idea, but you should debut big mainstream games at that event. That's why the likes of Halo and GTA and Call of Duty should be debuted there.
It's really hard to consider Zelda a huge mainstream property. I guess to a certain extent it is, but this game is really more for the long time gamers. What does that mean? The long time gamers are going to KNOW if it is coming out or not.
But I guess it couldn't hurt. Any publicity is good.
I will grant that the author has a very astute understanding of Nintendo's relationship with the media. Nintendo won't feed into their hype machines, so the media won't feed into Nintendo's, leading both sides to further believe that they get along fine without one another (as Nintendo's been doing fine despite their decreased coverage, and the media has been doing fine throwing more focus on the PS360 crowd)
To suggest that Nintendo needs to start doing this is erroneous, though. It's the kind of arena where Nintendo isn't meant to compete, due to the kind of games they tend to make.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.
