That wasn't Sephiroth, it was Jenova in the form of Sephiroth. Sephiroth was in a fuck load of Mako at the time of this happening.
So Sephiroth did nothing the entire game until Cloud gave him the Black Materia for the second time later in the game. In other words, still not up to Kefka's level seeing as how Kefka did everything on his own the entire time. Sephiroth also wasn't a load of Mako, he was encased in Mako if i'm not mistaken.
So Jenova > Kefka then? Doesn't matter, she still handled things, like a bitch. Stabbing people in the back is cowardly. No respect.
And another thing. Jenova isn't Sephiroth's mother.
Point is that Sephiroth still believes that she is since he does not know the truth about Lucrecia. He was injected with Jenova cells while still in the womb. We knew the truth, he didn't. He still acted like a momma's boy. "Mother" this, "Mother" that. "Me and Mother" blah blah blah.

Still a great game and I love it a lot, but there really is no comparison, especially when explanations like this further hurt the argument of Sephiroth > Kefka.
As for the topic on hand, I won't believe anything until tomorrow. I seriously hope though that we get a 2009 US release, but I won't hold my breath.
