Don't worry there is Alan Wake, Mass Effect II, Assassins Creed II all in the next 6 months or so that can be hyped as the next graphical behemoth.  I don't see the point in all honesty like you, these threads are as pointless as the Gears and Uncharted ones before KZ2.

I read this before you edited it, and I agree with almost everything you say. Technically KZ2 is better than just about anything else. I just take umbrage with people who want to label me a "fanboy" because I dare to like the look of something more than KZ2. I'm not an xbox or Resistance fanboy, I just don't think that to my eyes Killzone 2 is the best looking game. I apologize if I offended you with the "bias" statement I made about you.

KZ2 is basically unbeatable, with regards to technical quality, by any cross-platform title. Even as an exclusive, its like that only a few titles, including a would-be Killzone 3, will surpass it.

But to say "it's no contest." shows your own bias as well. As I stated earlier, I prefer the look of Call of Duty over Killzone 2, it's a personal preference thing. My minds eye says "This looks better" because I like the environments, set peices and color palatte more. It's completely subjective. Yes, the textures are better, the particle effects are better, the AA is better in Killzone 2, but that doesn't mean that it will "look better" to everyone. For me Killzone 2 was beaten already by Resistance 2 and Uncharted 1 on the PS3 and Gears 2 on the 360, because I like them better. You can't say something like the bolded above and then talk about other people's "fanboy goggles" without admitting that you yourself are looking through Sony colored glasses.

That's not even within the realm of opinion. Did you play R2 on a 50 inch full HD TV and KZ2 on a 1980 10" monitor or something?

Trust me....for what it is I also enjoyed MW2's graphics and gameplay more as well. KZ2 technically has better graphics, but theres just something about a real war and the lighting and graphics displayed and getting into the thick of it that puts MW2 on top. I have played MW2 and KZ2 on a 50 inch.  They all look great, but again....those games cannot even compare to MW2. MW2 is currently the best FPS the PS3's got and probably will continue to be until Infiintiy ward decide to make a MW3.

MW2 looks great.

Resistance 2, on the other hand, looks dreadful.

I can just about accept some people liking the game.

The graphics are about as visually appealing as Susan Boyle (who is a great singer).

if its a multi platform FPS itll never beat killzone. only killzone 3 or another exclusive FPS that uses most of the power of the PS3 can compete.
