Seriously, this joins a growing number of threads that are hating on Sony and the PS3 just because Microsoft looks to be having some improved sales. Good for them, but Microsoft has hardly sealed Sony's fate in November. The market is unlikely to just suddenly shift because of a multi-platform game and temporary raised sales (which might not even put the 360 above the PS3 worldwide). With Japan and PAL, Sony still holds a fairly strong sales advantage.

Well I hope your right. I really do because I really want the ps3 on top.

idk y every1s flipping out over this i thought it was just a 1 day sale and that there will be other walmart deals over the month so dont count out a good ps3 deal for next week

once these deals are over in a few weeks (pretty sure the box's deal is done now) i believe that the ps3 will be able to outsell the box in NA weekly for the rest of the year if not be selling close to the same as it

GoWIII isnt a major Sony game?   Thats news to me

God of War III will majorly sell to people who have PS3. GT will be the PS3's only console pusher next year. Mass Effect 2 and Halo Reach will push consoles. Of course Halo Reach will do the bulk of the work.

Don't forget, LOTS of Xbox modders have to buy new machines now since they had their xboxes banned.

Do we treat those re-buys the same as all those with PS2's who had to buy new ones because an old one crapped out? ;)

It's their fault they modded the system and tried to pirate off of Xbox Live. They deserve to lose control of their systems. They are stealing major profits from a thriving region of the gaming industry and they should save the piracy for PC where it is widely accepted and causing devs to jump ship to consoles where there is at least a shred of control. Don't you think PS3 owners rebuy PS3's after they get sick of sending their PS3's back to Sony with the Yellow light or the Blu Ray disc player malfunctioning? Yeah, blame the Xbox 360 for everything.

I think God of War 3 has the best chance of boosting their respective console's sales out of the three games you mentioned.  Mass Effect 2 and Halo Reach already have prequels on the XBox360.  I doubt many people are waiting for Mass Effect 2 or Halo Reach before buying an XBox360 when Mass Effect 1 and Halo 3/ODST are already out.

God of War has never been that Strong. It only sells amongst core fans. Look at the PS2 sales, they speak for themself. People have purchased 360's for Mass Effect. I am not saying Mass Effect sold a million consoles, but it sold pretty well. Halo Reach will speak for itself. There are quite a few people on VGChartz who bought a 360 just to play Mass Effect that I've seen post as well. The sequel is doing what no other heavy hitter on either console is doing next year. It is transferring the world you created into the next game so you stay on track. That is a compliment to great gaming and a great story that is bringing WRPG's to life after years of being under JRPG's.

Like you there were so many people saying that Forza 3 will boost the 360 sales a lot, have you seen a huge boost in the 360 sales with the release of Forza 3?

Mass Effect 2 isn´t that strong, even M.A.G a new ip has more preorders in America than Mass Effect, even Halo 3: ODST just push 13% up 360 sales (18k more consoles), and Halo 3 ODST really had a lot of advertising, and you said that god of war III isn´t that strong?
