I was at Gamestop today and you could buy copies of Modern Warfare 2. People were picking up copies as well as those who pre-ordered. I suggest checking with your local store if you pre-ordered as it might be in already. I passed as I will wait for this game. Gamestop employees were also issuing warnings to customers picking up their copies alerting them not to play online until Tuesday. As playing early will ban you from playing online come Tuesday.

Smart move....

You know you could report them right? In fact it'd be hilarious that if everyone that's seen a EB/gamestop thats been selling the game early just report them, I believe its a pretty substantial fine and hey why not screw the guy that will eventually screw you when you want to trade the game in :P

Acorrding to the employee I spoke with the call came from corporate to start selling today.

That would be illegal. You could report the entire corporation.

Well I know my copy is in the parcelforce network...

Not sure if the publisher would care about them releasing a game two days early...

Actually most boxes come with this sticker that says "Street dated, if sold early call __________" and sometimes even have a little tag about an reward for reporting them (usually like 100 bucks)

That's awesome. If 10,000 people reported them, GameStop would be $1 million poorer.
