MW 1 graphics good you sir need your eyes checked. it was like PSone textures in some area's like the sneaking hay field
and the faces had less polygons then some PS2 games.

this is so lol when MW first released people were all like omg awesome graphics no wonder it couldn't be on wii and they wwere criticsing wii and saying it was absoloutely amazing..now that mw2 is here people r like the graphics sucked and mw2 has the best graphics ever then when mw3 (possibly) is released people will be like mw2 was a awesome game but the grpahics were just not right...ool i mean lol

I always thought that the graphics in MW weren't anything special. The only impressive thing were the character models (mainly their animation) the framerate and some effects.

I agree though that many people still say that CoD4 was a visually impressive game. But no way MW2 has the best graphics ever. No one said that.

Sadly I already played and beat it at freinds place...6 hour long campaign that is exactly the same as MW gameplay wise and has zero replayability.

With that said, I think i will pick it up still...MP is going to be great.
But then again, left 4 dead 2 is almost out too...and that demo they have of the game rocks hard too.

Hmm...maybe not day 1 purchase here.

4 hours for me

Are you serious? Only 4 hours? No way....

yep

What difficulty did you play it on?  Very Easy?  If the campaign is anything like MW1 then playing it on anything above Veteran it will take maybe twice as much as that.  The computer is ridiculous, you get pre fired at every corner, they don't miss and get grenade spammed like crazy.  And there are achievements for beating the levels on at least Veteran.

I won't get any game that costs more than the average game and is so incredibly short.

Seriously, what happened to game lenght this gen? I only buy a few high quality games, and I expect them to last long. Buying what seems like a pretty standard shooter and finishing it in under 10 hours is unthinkable for a game that is more expensive than the average game. Halo 3 with it's shortness made me feel burned, and the only thing keeping me from selling it was FORGE, Forge and playing custom game modes with friends is what saved the game for me, it made it worth the purchase. MW2 just won't have enough content in it for me to be interrested, it will probably have some epic moments and a decent multiplayer, but due to the low player count the multiplayer is likely to become repetitive, and a short single player (even if it's epic) will just make it a shallow experience.

I'm waiting for Battlefield 3 instead.

Halo 3 had co-op which at least doubles the replayability and CoDMW2 features a special ops mode which also extends the game (singleplayer and multiplayer wise)

I take co-op for granted in every console FPS I play, not having co-op in is a crime to me, and I don't buy FPS games without co-op, I played the entire Halo 3 campaign in local co-op, and still found it too short.

What is this, special ops mode that you speak of? If it gets repetitive quick, It's more like a cool extra and not a game extension.

Maybe you should change your point of view here.

Special Ops mode:

"Modern Warfare 2 will feature a cooperative mode entitled Special Ops, which consists of independent missions similar in design to the "Mile High Club" epilogue mission from Call of Duty 4. These missions will take place in a variety of locations from the campaign mode, but aren't related to story of the campaign itself. Special Ops supports cooperative play for up to two players, and can be played alone, in split-screen locally with another player, or online with another player. It includes such scenarios as a snowmobile race, a battle alongside U.S. Navy SEALs, and fending off a wave of 50 enemies at once.

Special Ops is divided into separate groups of missions with changeable difficulty levels. Successfully completing a mission earns the player stars, with missions completed on Veteran difficulty rewarding up to three stars. These stars can be used to unlock more missions in the mode."

So it's kind of like the event mathces in the Super Smash games?

Alright, that's one thing that could make the game longer.

Still, I don't think it's worth more than the average pricetag for games.

I LOVE ICELAND!

AFAIK the console versions still have the same old average pricetag.

News incoming: people play games on easy and say it's short !

Killzone 2: 5 hours
Halo 3 ODST: 3-4 hours
Uncharted: 4-5 hours
Call of Duty 4: 4-5 hours

STOP PLAYING GAMES ON EASY THEN !

At least play it on normal difficulty. You will get at least 1.5 or maybe even 2 hours more playtime. It's just bullshit when someone claims that MW2 will be a 4 hours game. The game is meant to be played on normal difficulty, that's why it's called "normal".
Play it on the 2nd highest difficulty, then you get a 8-9 hours game and so on.

Killzone2 i did it on normal in 4 to 5 hours

Halo odst me and a friend did it on leg in around 5h

Uncharted took 6h on normal, only 5h on hard my 2nd time through.

All cods have taken 4 to 5 hours on hardcore for me

I didn't rush on any of them they are just short games difficulty didn't make them longer, but the games are amazing so length isn't a big deal but they are deffo short games.

I'd say that's pretty much impossible especially on the first playthrough. I heard that MW2 will have ingame statistics, so if you buy MW2 it would be nice if you could post your time in anyone of the future threads.

Killzone 2 is the only game I can with confidence say how long it took for me on easy difficulty (due to the ingame statistics)

The rest are estimates. Never played Uncharted on easy, but it took me 7 hours to complete it on normal. but it's still a fact that a higher difficulty extends the gamelength.

I have no good estimates for my veteran playthrough of CoD2, CoD4 or my Legendary playthrough of Halo 3 with a friend, but anything under 10 hours would be a lie.

beacause my futureshop flyer put "get it first" beside mw2....so i'm gna get it first :/
