Forums - Sony - Have KZ2 and Uncharted 2 curbed your anticipation of MW2?

I'm not American, so I don't care much for FPS. Once upon a time I was playing the greatest FPS multiplayer game that was and forever will be Counter Strike.

I've played Killzone 2, the singleplayer was pretty average, nothing new or innovative. But I like the feeling of the game, that heavyness of your movement, weapons. It's a definitive war simulator when it comes to atmosfere. Also I really enjoyed it's multiplayer, I'm still playing it.

Uncharted 2 is my GOTY, perfection introduced to gaming.

I will play through Modern Warfare 2 on my PC, FPS on console just doesn't feel right to for me. Maybe that's the reason why I like Killzone 2, because it's slower and more tactical than you usual Halo 3 acrobatic speediness.

You have to be American to like FPS?

I'm not American. Nobody in the UK is American, and CoD is insanely popular here (more popular than FIFA).

I cant believe Naz started a thread

Too be honest uncharted 2 is the greatest single player campaign I have ever played. Not to sound cheesy but it was a honour playing that game, as for Killzone 2 another quality game the single player really tested me especially near the end. Online was great aswell the only thing that is killing my aniticipation for MW2 is Activision!!

Naz starts lots of threads. But I'm surprised he started a thread that didn't involve threatening people.

COD4 was like losing your virginity, the excitement, the wait and all the surprises were there. MW2 however is you like trying to have sex again, yes the sex will be better and longer, but you can never lose your virginity twice.

Nope, not at all.

I didn't like Killzone 2. Let's face it, the game wasn't good. It was an average game with amazing graphics, and that's it. Controls sucked, gameplay wasn't there... I loved Uncharted 2, though. Uncharted 2 is easily the best game this generation. It's the only game for the current consoles that beats out any game from the last generation consoles.

MW2 is a completely different style game than Uncharted 2. I'm buying it day one and will enjoy it just as much as COD4, which was another one of my favorite games this gen.

Nope, can't face that, as that's an opinion. In fact, it's the complete opposite for me, as I found Killzone 2 to be FAR more enjoyable than COD 4. This is why we can't "face it".

And I enjoyed Megaman ZX more than I did Mario Galaxy. It doesn't make it a better game now, does it?

Do you honestly think Killzone 2 is better than COD4? You must mean graphics then.

It's kind of useless to question opinions.

Not at all. It's perfectly rational to like a game that isn't good. Hell, we do it all of the time.

I hate the Ghost Recon games, but I love the Dynasty Warriors series. It'd be completely idiotic for me to say that Dynasty Warriors is a good game or a good series.

You kind of does...

And CoD beeing more popular than FIFA in the UK smells like BS to me dear sir. So your national sport is shooting people instead of kicking ball? Or are you training for muslim takeover and the upcomming urban warfare?

CoD isn't more popular than football, it's more popular than FIFA. Or, at least, as popular. Who would know, the person who lives here, or the person who doesn't?

EDIT: To turn that back on you, GTA: San Andreas outsold every Madden game. I suppose most Americans now prefer running around a city, having sex with hookers and running people over to American Football?

I am fairly certain FIFA is bigger than CoD. Certainly on PS3. The UK's buying trends are far more similar to the USA than Europe

CoD4 sold 2.15 million in Others

FIFA 08 sold 1.30 million in Others.

Make of that what you will. Especially since, as you said, the UK's buying trends are more similar to the USA than Europe.

I though Uncharted was action adventure... with guns and "boom! Headshot(s)."
